The Democrats and their media accomplices keep telling us the Republicans are the fascists and autocrats hungry for power. But just the opposite is true. The Democrats themselves made it clear during the pandemic that they are the party of authoritarianism.
In the spring of 2020, this country went into a lockdown. As Jeffrey Tucker of the Brownstone Institute has noted, government officials canceled public worship services, segregated the large cities, abolished in-person education, foisted masks on all the kids, destroyed millions of businesses, and censored speech “so that we could barely discover facts.” They shut down concerts, imposed limits on house parties, scrapped weddings and funerals, locked the elderly into their homes and blocked visitation, ended dentistry, and imposed travel restrictions across state borders, says Tucker.
Some officials, however, saw that the rules were oppressive and restored liberty in their states. None of them are Democrats.
The authoritarian streak that runs throughout the Democratic Party came roaring out, no longer hidden just below the surface. Here was their chance to feed their hunger for more raw power. And they dined sumptuously.
The actions of both elected and unelected Democrats were not “hard calls,” as an Atlantic contributor recently labeled them in an appalling plea to grant amnesty to the offenders. They were the coercive orders of monstrous minds that perversely enjoy telling others what they cannot do and what they must do, who take great satisfaction in demanding and receiving obedience to their diktats.
Pleading for amnesty is not a sincere appeal to forgive and forget. It’s an effort to disarm the defenders of liberty so that the tyrants can more easily in the future establish another set of restrictions, most likely to “flatten the curve” of a climate emergency that doesn’t exist.
It’s clear that Democrats knew exactly what they were doing. The excuse that “we just didn’t know enough” at the beginning of the novel coronavirus outbreak was the perfect cover for their tyrannical urges. Ned Ryun, a George W. Bush speechwriter, reminds us that “within weeks, well-credentialed science and health specialists were warning about the unreliable science behind masks, forced lockdowns in senior care facilities, and the potential long-term harm masking and isolation would cause to young people.” Of course “all of these objections were met with threats, professional derision, and cancellation by the people who are now calling for absolution.”
The most egregious example of a Democrat abusing his authority in the name of some manufactured good was found in California, where Gov. Gavin Newsom, who still hasn’t surrendered his emergency powers, convinced himself and millions of others that he could issue essentially any order that came to mind. Not far behind was New York’s Andrew Cuomo, who, as one Democratic state lawmaker said, was “inclined toward tyranny.”....
No amnesty, no forgiveness. There needs to be a hard lesson learned by the leftists.

And I wondered, would the “republicans” call them on that, take them to court?
Nah. I knew the answer to that one.
Obedient, obsequious cretinous little rimjob artists that they are, the republicants would meekly knuckle under to the totalitarians.
And they still want us to do the same.
The Demonicrats told us who they were ever since their party platform promoted the genocidal butchering of unborn children.
The party of the Plantation Bosses and the Slave Masters told us who they were a long time ago, nothing has changed. Their lust for Power and Control over their fellow man is what drives them, always has, always will.
We have to identify the head of the snake and cut it off. Then we have to somehow de-program the 30%+- of the population that they have hypnotized.
If we misjudge the aforementioned, we will make a huge error.
I suggest we need to approach this the same way we would if people were indoctrinated into a powerful cult. That is what I think we are dealing with here. The rank and file have no idea what they are doing or why.
Case in point, no sane person could have voted for Fetterman.;-)
The Woke World is living in an echo chamber very much like a house of mirrors. When they think they are looking at us (regular old Americans), they are, as we can clearly see, gazing at their own reflection.
That's who they are screaming "fascist" at...their own image in the fun house mirror wall.
Governor Ron DeSantis issued a 30-day stay-at-home lockdown order for Florida residents on April 1, 2020.
That alone should disqualify him from ever holding public office.

It was an eye-opener for sure to see how many people would beg to lick the boot that would stomp them mercilessly.
I'm grateful for their behavior though. I learned a lot about people that I never would have if they hadn't taken the opportunity to show their true selves. No more wasting time or effort with mentally defective people.
Politicians, public health officials and school officials just made it up or misread the statutes. It is hard to take it to a judge when the courts are closed. It took 2 years for a judge to overturn Pritzker's illegal mask mandate.
While I agree whole heartedly, remember that some of the worst offenders: Hochul, Whitmer, Pritzker and Polis won handily because some 70% of our brethern are sheep.[Based on vax rates].
Apparently not enough people minded in the least.

Voters should be enraged, so alarmed at the Democrats’ systemic violations of liberty that starting today they spend the next three to four election cycles throwing the bums out. Our republic is at stake.

What changed is that decades of propaganda have led to legions of simps and karens who'll rabidly carry out the wishes of the Plantation Bosses and Slave Masters. In the past, Plantation Bosses and Slave Masters needed to use force and intimidation. Favored overseers needed to be compensated. Now, simps and karens beg to be enslaved.
I once read that "slaves dream not of freedom but of becoming masters". I thought it was an insightful revelation, something intentionally hidden to keep people ignorant, but have since realized that very few slaves dream of becoming masters and even fewer slaves dream of freedom. I now know that there are many free people who want to be slaves and many slaves want to be slaves forever. We have urban and rural reservations filled with them.
It's also brutally clear that those who desire slavery detest free individuals, especially the ones who would liberate them. They would rather see free individuals enslaved or dead instead of remaining free.
