Remember that aggregate vote across all races was 6 million plus for republicans.

Most of the blame, IMO, goes to the RINOs, GOPe sidehustlers who claim to be conservative but do not act it...

It’s coincidence, that out of nowhere the polls had it so wrong about the races.
It’s coincidence that people stated on exit polls that inflation, the economy, and crime were there biggest concerns.
It’s coincidence that all of the Trump people ran on those basic items, and the election was so close.
It’s coincidence that the polls malfunctioned and there appears to be ballot dumps

“In politics there are no coincidences-FDR”

The system is trying convince you to vote for somebody besides Trump. They are afraid of Trump, not DeSantis. Think about that.

No one is blaming him for anything.

Dems/Repub registration is 2-1 in New York. Fetterman had the luxury of 500,000 more registered Dems.

The problem is....Dems are stuck on stupid....and they know how to get out the vote.

Those Freepers old enough to remember should think back to red China in the 1960s...specifically,the "Red Guards". Today's Rat Party is controlled by Mao Tse Tung 2.0 and, with the enthusiastic support of Rush's "drive by media", they're recreating Mao's ravishing the countryside.

DJT is one of the more prominent victims of that effort.

To put it another way,DJT will *always* be Hitler's evil twin at NPR and the Amazon Compost...and we all know what that means.

The Rat Party's leaders are utterly depraved...but they're *not* stupid. They'd be far less dangerous if they were.

I’m not sure about how different things would be if he hadn’t been such an idiot, but Biden had everything laid out to make this election about Trump instead of about him, and Trump ran straight into the trap, with no cares in the world except burnishing his own campaign.

He held all these campaign rallies, but they were really campaigns for himself; he didn’t raise a penny for anyone. And as it was going to sh*t, he acted like he couldn’t be happier. You know who Trump helped outperform the polls by a ton? DeSantis.

Trump really doesn’t matter enough any more to be assigned blame. His 15 minutes are over.

People are rired of mean tweets and insults and responding to every gesture from others. Only immature school boys act that way. It is opposite of “presidential” behavior. Running for president is esentially a likability contest. One does not enhance likability by constantly putting down others. Where was the need for Trump to call Desantis “Ron Sanctimonious”?

n00b, are you just startgting this tread to cause infighting? There are plenty of threads where people have already expressed their opinions.

I can see no purpose other than a flame war.

what do Freepers think?

*******
Things change, Leaders change, World keeps turning,
Time moves on,

Look for some one in their mid 60s that can serve two terms

Age impacts individuals differently but once a person hits 70
things aren’t like they used to be ....JMO

5 people

https://www.gop.com/about-our-party/rnc-leaders/

168 people

https://www.gop.com/about-our-party/rnc-members/

Add to that the other organizations of GOP politicians, focus groups, and entire apparatus.

But it’s all one man’s fault.

Will Ron Desantis need his megadonors to finance his run for President?

Will they give him millions with NO STRINGS ATTACHED?

Will Ron Desantis agree to serve four years as President without drawing any salary as Trump did?

Desantis is NOT Trump and NEVER WILL BE.

Trump draws thousands at every visit. They wait for hours and in long lines. Ron Desantis WILL NEVER HAVE THAT LEVEL OF SUPPORT.

If a person would have taken the credit for a magnificent victory, then they deserve the blame for a terrible loss.

To my mind, anyway, *NO ONE* gets to take the position that they are responsible for an event if it is a triumph, but *not* responsible if the outcome is bad.

So my question: if this election and been an absolute route, if we’d taken 5 more Senate seats and every closely fought house race- would you credit Trump? If so, you ought to blame him.

You don’t get to call it a fair contest if you win but rigged if you lose; you don’t get to take credit if you win and avoid blame if you fail.

I will forever be grateful to Donald Trump for keeping Hillary Clinton out of the White House but 2016 was a lifetime ago.

Since then, he's essentially lost three elections: 2018, 2020, and now 2022.

We need to win in '24 and this will not happen with Trump at the helm. Sure, he'll get the base to the polls but he won't get anyone else. You can't win elections when only the base shows up. You need to build coalitions.

DeSantis has shown he can not only win but build coalitions and get re-elected. DeSantis repeatedly demonstrates himself to be superior to Donald Trump in every measure.

It's time for Donald Trump to step aside gracefully and clear the field.

It is my opinion that Hilary would be in her second term if not for Donald Trump.
He has my support for as long as he wants it.
