That’s a dumb comment
I worked from home for the last 5 years.
I get up in the mornign. make my coffee, and I’m online. I usually get more done by 9AM that most in-house workers, because o one is bothering me.
Text messages are short and concise. I don’t have to spend 10 minutes walking down the hall and back to talk to someone.
And I usually put in 10 hours ore more. Because I am not wasting an hour getting ready and driving to and from work.

I usually put in 10 hours ore more. Because I am not wasting an hour getting ready and driving to and from work. Roger that. My company gets a lot more work out of me, I have less stress, and the only thing I miss is the face-to-face with coworkers, which is somewhat covered by video chat.
Whether remote work is right is a per-company, per-position, and to some degree per-employee decision.

Elon Muskโs first email to Twitter employees ends remote work. Employees will be expected to be in the office for 40 hours/week"Remote work" is basically an oxymoron.
Unfortunately for Musk, as soon as his Twitter "workforce" receives his email, another 75% of them will immediately quit. Then again, maybe that's his email's purpose.

That message alone will get some more to quit so there will be no need to pay severance.

What a slavemaster! 40 hours, in the office, without lattes every 30 minutes? The humanity of it..

I work remote. The end result is that I’m available to deal with issues all day, instead of just 9-5.

You are an exceptional, conscientious, hard working person, and clearly unlike the typical lazy Twitter Twits "working" at home. You know, the snowflakes who pad around all day in their bunny rabbit slippers, sipping soy latte, and crunching non-GMO granola. Imagine a legion of Pajama Boys if you will.

What kind are you, Guv?

You’re the exception. Most of these younger kids screw around all day. Productivity is in the toliet.
