Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?

It probably is Trump trying to be funny, but there is a basic truth - he can study Reagan on this, it’d help him a lot - you don’t use self-aggrandizing humor in politics, you use self-deprecating humor. It works much, much better and gets people laughing with you. It takes a bit more thought and preparation and you can’t just bleat it out without thinking first, but it works much much better.
You sound like you are writing for the Rats and RINOs. Divide the party. Attack the man who United the party, and made someone like DeSantis possible.

Ron DeSantis will just become the next target when he hits the big time, and his control will not be as focused as it currently is.
Trump was the only politician to stand up and fight these clowns. By dividing the party base, you just destroy any chance of us getting this nation back on course. Of course, if that is what you desire, then by all means, destroy this nation.

With all respect, kind sir, that's not correct. DeSantis was one of the top leaders of the Freedom Caucus, along with Jim Jordan. They were on Fox News almost every night, for months, defending Trump from the Mueller investigation, and other ordeals Trump was dealing with. There are plenty of articles out there that chronicle that if you need a link, which led to DeSantis getting a following of his own due to his outstanding performances in those appearances. That was in 2017. Trump's endorsement was even after that, more like 2018 not 2016 as you said.
So in effect, Trump already owed DeSantis that endorsement. During the election, and after, DeSantis thanked him. Now, Trump wants even more, and it appears he is demanding complete and utter subservience from DeSantis, which Trump wouldn't ever give to anyone, either.
By dividing the party base, you just destroy any chance of us getting this nation back on course.
Tell it to Trump. He's the one seeding discontent over 2024 on the very days of the 2022 election. At ~78 years old, he should be more realistic in expecting everyone to just put all our eggs in his basket alone, now, anyway. That election is still 2 years away, Trump is the one jumping the gun.

OK, thanks for your opinion, which I respect. But Trump was hardly unflappable near the end of his own term. He caved to Fauci, for gosh sake. These debates over who the candidate in 24 should be based on an analysis of policy, accomplishment, electability, and yes, health, not gut feelings or emotions. Thanks.
