If you hadn't noticed, Joe Scarborough's transformation from hardcore conservative to partisan Democrat is complete.
On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough waxed nostalgic over the 1998 midterm elections, when Rush Limbaugh was wrong in anticipating a Republican triumph after the Year of Lewinsky, and instead, Democrats enjoyed what Scarborough described as a "glorious night."

Scarborough was a Republican Congressman then.
And he was rooting for the Democrats?
He was also on his first marriage then.
To find this out I googled “Chuck Scarborough” before I realized my mistake.

Why does he need to go back that far?
2018 is far more recent, and the same thing happened then.
Our self-appointed experts wound up getting egg all over their faces after spending the prior 2 years with dislocated shoulders from patting themselves on the back so often after “predicting” (hoping, wishing, dreaming, then getting lucky, etc.) 2016 correctly.
Basically he’s been a fraud his whole life.
Probably what Mika found him so appealing.

98 was a weird year. The internet was really changing things, and the dot com bubble was still expanding. The Lewinsky issue fired up both sides.
2022 - Economy is in the dumps. Inflation high. Crime high. Abortion not the issue Democrats hoped. I’m not expecting a tsunami...that would be 54+ Senators. But I would be happy with 51 or 52.
