I get the impression that Ye is slightly unhinged and fell for some Hebrew Israelite propaganda, but is mainly being targeted because he’s dancing with the Republican Party.

The Black Hebrews
There may be some truth to what they say. The Bible describes those who left Egypt as “a mixed multitude.” But, no, the Black Hebrews is mostly a cult belief.
The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Black Hebrews as anti-Semitic, which is probably why the documentary is verboten (and why Kyrie Irving has to apologize). We saw, at Waco, Texas, where demonizing cult groups leads. Most of the people at Waco, and most Black Hebrews are guilty of nothing more than holding to some outlandish ideas.
Most Black Hebrews are decent, law-abiding, hard-working, family-oriented people. They’re outlandish ideas serve to weed out non-believers who would mooch off them, and insure that their fellow believers are willing to commit themselves to the community.

All that said: there absolutely were (and are) Jewish people who were black. My grandmother is Sephardic via North Africa (Eqypt) and would be called a “high brown” in the USA. Her facial features are Caucasian but skin very dark. Think the model Iman.

So they DO have a point. There were and are plenty of dark skinned Jews.

Yes, Kanye is indeed slightly unhinged. He’s bipolar. Along with other things, bipolar is usually associated with susceptibility to conspiracy theory, that is, more than a healthy level of skepticism. Yes, we should “question authority.” But, we should do this in a way that is fair and, if possible, with the purpose of improving things.
The human mind is the most awesome thing in the universe. But, for some, the power of the mind comes at a price.
Black Hebrews were the ones taunting the MAGA kid who sued all the media companies. His high school group was in DC visiting. The kids were waiting for a bus and the Black Hebrews yelled racist insults at them. An Indian got in the middle of it all leading to the infamous confrontation.
