Bruce Springsteen. YUK!!
Ah yes, Bruce Springsteen.
As a youngster I would hear his music, so apocalyptic and negative. Coming from over 1,000 miles to the southwest of New Jersey I envisioned a devastated landscape in the Northeast.
It just had to be like Berlin or Stalingrad after WWII. So horrible for the people, they were probably freezing and starving I thought.
At the age of 19 I finally took a trip from Virginia north to New Hampshire.
The buildings were intact. People were going to work. People were going to school. People were going to concerts in the park.
Where was the devastation?
Compared to Mississippi and Arkansas it was a LOT wealthier. Why all the complaining?
Decent remake of a good Commodores song. Wouldn’t call it embarassing.
Couldn’t stand the guy or his music from day one when he broke out. Does he have a couple good songs, yeah ok. He could hardly not considering his ensemble band, but for the most part he’s awful and he sucks. One of the reasons I could never trust Chris Christy is his love of this schmuck. Full disclaimer: I was born in NJ and the first invitee to the Bruce Springsteen sucks ping list.
Am I the only one who quits singin' along
Every time they play a Springsteen song
At Target I actually heard a Spanish version of ‘Dancing in the Dark’. It was better than Springsteen’s original.
Springsteen’s fans seem to enjoy how he plays on and on at his concerts. Gutfeld once said, “Isn’t that a lot like all-you-can-eat tofu?”
I really liked early Springsteen and his early concerts were some of the best I’ve seen. But about the time “The River” came out he started getting real preachy with his far left speeches during his concerts while strumming Woody Guthrie on his guitar. Very boring and off-putting. I gave up on him at that point.
