Dear L Dotters. We are heartbroken. Our beloved Lucianne passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in her own home, the way she wanted. But she has left a whole in our lives that we can never fill completely.
Lucianne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a patriot who expressed her love of this country with both political fierceness and penetrating wit.
In that part of her world this site became her home, her community, and her voice. She also wanted Lucianne.com to endure and she made arrangements that it would do so - just as it has for the past 25 years. The same loyal staff, the same policies, and the same principles. ( And before you ask, her son Jonah will not be involved. She loved her son without reservation, but they saw politics differently from time to time. So, we've worked it out. The Lucianne.com team will stay on and Jonah will stay out of it.)
Obviously, no one can replace Lucianne. But we can carry-on in her name. We're not asking you to send money or make donations to anything. We're just asking you to stick around. We think that's the best way to honor and keep her memory alive. Please keep her light shining.
I met her at the 1998 March for Justice. Hard to believe that was almost a quarter century ago. I believe her screen name here was “trixie”.
I too, got booted from L.com in the early 2000 because I really busted on her son, the fat, rino prick.
Back then, she was still very protective of the fat, conceited bastard, but now he has been booted from L.com.
I still lurk over there for some articles, but rarely read the comments, {too bland}.
RIP
R.I.P., Trixie.
Power and the promise of it, corrupts all but the strong.
I came here from Usenet news, I thought this place was pretty tame compared to Usenet. Usenet had no rules and no moderators so it was a free for all. LOL, lot of fun back in the day.
Everything was tame compared to Usenet
Been a Freeper for years and never knew she was too. Remember her as a fair journalist, too bad her son turned out to be a douchebag.
The Goldbergs represent a part of this forum and what folks call conservative I never liked or agree with
Lite on culture and hostile to southern history
Sorry for her passing she was far superior to her jackass son
She has a place in history
Best I can muster
The biggest drawback of LDot is they allow posting of too many blogs rather than actual news sources.
Blogs aren’t news. They are usually totally opinion. It’s hard to be a news aggregator site when you most mostly people personal blogs.
She left here in a huff and called Jim “a little sh##” But hey I guess she did a lot of good things too.
Linda Tripp
I’m sure Jim can answer for himself but at a certain point he thought it was funny.
Please.

I was also caught up in the Great Purge of `99 for the most innocuous of reasons. Became a Freeper and never looked back. Her site suffered greatly due to the success of FreeRepublic.Com

That may have been true at the beginning, but the market has changed. The Podcasters, YouTubers, and bloggers have stepped into the journalistic arena because nature abhors a vacuum.
