SALTY Yankees fans BOO Ted Cruz & call him R@CIST as the Astros SWEEP Yankees to reach World Series
I’m a National league fan so go Phillies!
He isn’t a racist but he is very rich now.
My favorite MLB team is the one that happens to be playing the Yankees on any given day/night. I occasionally watch MLB games, as long as they’re free.
"I'm a little too young to remember those days but my dad saw quite a few games at Ebbets Field and the Polo Grounds. He played in the minors for a couple of years and had the honor of meeting Willie Mays at an exhibition game."
Duke Snyder, Gil Hodges, Pee Pee Reece, Carl Furillo, Roy Campanella, ....."Those were the days my friend we thought they would never end ....." until the great Brooklyn Dodgers moved to the shxx hole LA. I had a sinking hole in my gut for many years after that.
I remember Ebbets Field well. My Father used to take me to ball games there when I was 6 years old.
The last Rangers game I went to was against the Yankees, back when the Rangers were still good. Surprisingly unlike most times the Yankees come here, there weren’t that many Yankees fans in the stands. Pretty much the entire game most of the fans were chanting “Yankees Suck!”
Why do you like the Woke Astros? Remember they fires people for being antisemitism? Not to mention the cheating.
Aaron Judge had a chance to be a hero last night—if he had hit a home run when he came to bat in the 9th inning (with two outs) he would have given the Yankees a walk-off win (and kept them alive to play another game today). Instead he was put out at first for the final out of the game.
When you have no valid arguments, name calling is all you have.
Phillies may be meant to win this year. Last team in National League to qualify for playoffs. They changed skippers mid season. Just shake my head they took out Mets, last years world series winner Atlanta, and Padras.
Really? Thank you for reporting that.
I was rooting for the Padres but it was a good series. There were some historic moments--like the Phillies' second baseman committing an error (allowing a Padres run), then getting two RBIs himself but then getting picked off at first base--all in the same inning. On Saturday the Padres went ahead for a while because their pinch-runner on second got to home on two successive wild pitches (maybe not entirely the pitcher's fault because of the rain).
Anyway hoping for a great World Series (that lasts more than four games).
The largest collection of pussies on the planet.
‘...the Astros should revert back to their pre 1965 name, the COLT 45s...’
came in with the Mets in 1962, and were almost as bad, though their pitching was much better than the hapless Met staff... Turk Farrell, Ken Johnson, Bob Bruce, Hal Woodeshick, Norm Larker, Roman Mejias...and the only steady player among the bunch, Bob Aspromonte...
‘I have hated the Yankees before and after the Dodgers left Brooklyn!’
I couldn’t stand the Dodgers when they were in Brooklyn, still can’t in LA, but I absolutely, positively hated the Yankees, and I always will...
‘I remember Ebbets Field well’
I never got to Ebbets (I thought I had, but I was wrong), but my father and grandfather took me to the Polo grounds to watch the Giants and Dodgers on Sept 8,1957...I later attended many games at the Grounds when the Mets blessedly came to town, and it was in fact a crappy place to play and watch baseball; if you sat in the upper stands along either left or right field, you couldn’t see the outfielder on that line, to say nothing of the seats behind a pillar...
..and the huge NYC pigeons crapping down on your head from the rafters!
I went to the Polo Grounds once. That was enough.
To Ebbets Field, a hundred times. Rooting for the home team.
May they both go bankrupt.
