Bologna is one of the few things I won’t eat. I can handle fried ring bologna but can’t deal with Bologna lunch meat.

Yet I had scrapple for breakfast just a few days ago. Scrapple is what’s left over after they make bologna and hot dogs.

My mother in law grew up in a very large family. Bologna stew was a big treat for them. You won’t see anything more disgusting in a pot than bologna stew.

Thanks for posting!

Since the scamdemic started, I have not been able to find ring bologna anywhere. I used to find it at Kroger or Walmart, but not anymore. It’s just another thing that pisses me off about the COVID hoax.

One of my favorite sandwiches...grilled cheese and bologna.

Now I’m hungry...

Bologna is the slut of the salami universe.
Fried Bologna sandwich, I would eat a few bytes. I have a fat and junk food quota that I am not going to spend this way. How about scrapple and spam, which are Bologna’s competition. I have eaten scrapple and it was OK. It is pork trimmings plus half cornmeal.

We need a national scrapple day or month

Scrapple, also known by the Pennsylvania Dutch name Pannhaas (”pan tenderloin” in English),[1][2] is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and wheat flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. The mush is formed into a semi-solid congealed loaf, and slices of the scrapple are then pan-fried before serving. Scraps of meat left over from butchering, not used or sold elsewhere, were made into scrapple to avoid waste. Scrapple is best known as an American food of the southern Mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, Maryland, South Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.).

Bologna brings back happy childhood memories for me. When ever we traveled mom had a loaf of bread and a couple of pounds of Bologna. Sandwiches all around 😁
