It has been said that sausage is something you can enjoy, but you wouldn’t want to see it made.
Then, would you prefer your “meat” extruded from a nozzle in a laboratory?
More to the point: Would such a food be as delicious and nutritious as the original item it is trying to displace in the market?
Redefine Meat, a startup out of Israel, is one of the latest companies attempting to sell plant-based alternatives to actual meat. Last week the firm announced a partnership that will see its products distributed throughout Europe, according to Reuters.
Specifically, Redefine Meat is trying to introduce its steak cuts: an offering that is neither real steak, nor cut. The meat analogue is manufactured by 3D printing. Layer upon layer of plant-derived biomass is laid down until something approximating the size and shape of a real slab of steak is complete.
Reuters released video showing the process in action.

Thanks I had no clue. I like adding to my trivia knowledge. :)
NO!!!!
Defend the RIGHT to eat meat!!!! DOWN with the climate jockeys!!!!
Agree on both counts.
It helps me sleep. :)
Where can you get the protein from anything other than Soy? Soy is bad for females, bad for males. Soy is best left to the chinese.
Ack...ick..gag...phttt.
Plop.
Zzzz...
5.56mm
Is it made out of crushed cock roaches? Yummy!
I get protein in beans (kidney, pinto, lima, pinto), nuts, cottage cheese, yogurt, quinoa, lentils, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, avocados, potatoes, corn, English peas, etc. I eat tofu sometimes but not that much really, maybe once a month or less.

I like your list except for Brussels sprouts, my mother used feed me them and I didn’t care for them as a kid.
However, I should give them another try, because often taste changes somewhat with age.....so now they may be delicious.
BTW I couldn’t imagine not eating meat but I’m a ‘free to choose’ individual that doesn’t judge other peoples diets.
I didn’t like Brussels sprouts as a kid either but I love them now. They are really filling. I roast them in the oven or steam them, then eat them with either potatoes or rice.
In my opinion the key to good vegetables is how you season them and not cooking them too long and turning them mushy.
It’s basically texturized kibble.
I heard the 3D printed steak tasted like cardboard.
But no one has ever proved any deleterious effects on the other 55 genders.
But Friday is no carb Friday. No carbs. Egg whites, water and protein powder. I pretty much fast. That’s why I love cheat day Saturday so much.
Pancakes or waffles, bacon, and fruit for breakfast?
An Italian sub for lunch?
Dinner of spaghetti and meatballs?
Maybe gelato for dessert?
That’s Saturday. I get up at 10;00 - my wife makes me a ribeye with peppers, hasnbrowns on top slathered in sausage gravy and 4 eggs over easy to top it off. Now that’s a cheat day breakfast. Great way to end a fast. Then I hit the gym for intense cardio before I come home to watch the MMA fights. I love this lifestyle.
ALL the meat I eat is plant based ... Has been all my life.
;’}
This highly processed gunk they’re now trying to foist off on us is not food, it’s garbage/
