The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) could potentially allow a government to control what people spend their hard-earned cash on.
Speaking at the IMF-World Bank annual meeting on Oct. 15, Deputy Managing Director Bo Li said that a CBDC could improve “financial inclusion” through programmability.
“A CBDC can allow government agencies and private sector players to program, to create smart contracts, to allow targeted policy functions,” Li explained. “For example, welfare payments, for example, consumption coupons, for example, food stamps.”
“By programming CBDC, that money can be precisely targeted for what kind of people can own [CBDC] and for what kind of use this money can be utilized, for example for food.”
Li, who stepped into the role of deputy managing director at the IMF on Aug. 23, 2021, added that by allowing the government to precisely target what people need, this will enable said government to “improve financial inclusion.”
However, his comments were quick to garner a reaction from experts, including Nick Anthony, a policy analyst at the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives.
Anthony wrote on Twitter that the IMF executive’s comments revealed how a CBDC would “allow the government to precisely control what people can and cannot spend their money on.”

I keep saying CBDC’s are fascist coin.
They would give the government TOTAL control over your money. Government could see every single thing you spent money on. They could decide you’ve been a good boy/girl and therefore you get an extra 10% “to stimulate the economy”. Or they could decide you’ve been bad and just turn your money off with a keystroke.
They could decide that you’re diet isn’t healthy and that therefore that cheeseburger is going to cost you personally an extra 20%. Yes! They really would have individual control over your money to that degree.
“But it’s their money” a congresscritter quote indignantly referencing the tax payers dollars gifted to slackers who wished and worked around in the past and now in our face freely throw it around/away as they so desire.
Now what is this about controlling my spending?
Interesting. Can’t buy or sell without imf permission. Wonder how they’ll “mark” those who will have permission. Wonder what that mark will look like. Microchip or sku#? Just read about a rabbi being in touch with a messiah. Pretty sure it’s not THE Messiah. sure does look like things are lining up. And some folks still say the WORD is a fairy tale and its predictions will never come true. Psalm 2:4 applies here.
Yes, the Mark of the Beast will indeed come.
Revelation chapter 13:16-18, Revelation chapter 14:9-12 and Revelation chapter 20:4 show it to be true.

No wonder Mr. Li loves CBDCs for their ability to control individuals. He is from Communist China and was educated at American universities.
You are of course quite correct.
But they are masters with propaganda and even many who have now caught on to the horrendous, much larger program that the academic was just one small piece towards have yet to open their eyes to what the Bitcoin con was prepping us for.
They always make it sound so good and benign, just to help people, you know.
Before they turn on you like a rabid dog.
If you’re taking the time to read this, you already know this is about the government taking control of our lives and a Trojan Horse promoted to eliminate cash. Cash back on credit cards was stage one, designed to change our spending habits and move away from cash. But now we see banks telling or tracking where we spend funds and even disqualifying some merchants because of political bias. It’s easy with electronic funds but much harder with cash. Think carefully about any legislation that would eliminate cash and free trade (individual choice).
I just do not understand how some people (the one’s who will embrace this) cannot see what’s happening.
As noted above many believe this is the advent of the Beast System. And I cannot totally disagree with them. It will be a Beast of a System no matter what.
But I have asked this for many, many years:
What is it about ‘power?’ I hate to sound stupid, but what is the psychology of it? I run a business, my own business, but hate managing people. Even though I have the “power to do so.” Over manage employees and they hate you back.
What is it about managing people down to the very nth degree? People do not need that to be productive and happy. If you want a country to be happy, free the people to live their dreams, do not micromanage them.
Power.
Your social credit score is going to greatly effect how much money you can spend.
Did you say something they didn’t like?, no beer purchases for a month.

One of the ‘benefits’ of going Nuclear over Ukraine is that there won’t be much talk digital anything, at least for the 10% or so that manage to survive.
“Government could see every single thing you spent money on.”
Unless you pay cash they are already doing this. And have been for a long time. Ever since credit cards started to be used. They are already set up to flip a switch and regulate purchases in real time.
Well, yeah, that’s the point.
Ok...that would be a declaration of war! No one messes with our beer! I have to wonder though, how many people will actually be willing to fight in a civil war in order to stop these government policies being implemented? I don’t have faith in our military to stand with us, not with how our military has changed the last few years. I would love to see President Trump back in the Whitehouse but would he be able to turn things around without the help of those in Congress? He doesn’t have a lot of friends there. So how far does all of this go?
