I saw it as a moralizing attempt to justify our current open borders mess.
The real deception that Burns tries to get away with is trying to equate the State Department blocking of Jews trying to immigrate legally from Germany and the illegal invasion of our Southern border for economic reasons.
It would have been impossible for the US to take in the millions of Jews that were murdered by Hitler especially after Germany declared war on us. Attacking the death camps from the air would have killed thousands and made us accomplices in Hitler’s final solution.
The economic immigrants across the open Mexican border are enriching the cartels while promoting human and sex trafficking and bringing hardened gang members and other terrorists into our nation. Blocking this tragedy is the correct moral choice and Burns’ attempt at equating this with the Nazi final solution is dispicable.

Betcha he never does a documentary on Japanese Americans being forced into concentration camps. He’d have to mention liberal hero FDR time and time again.
Hence Burns will never do a documentary on Japanese Americans being ripped from their homes and houses of worship and being sent to concentration camps.
He’s woke, ergo, he no longer has morals, judgement, and much less workable intelligence. May the flies of a thousand camels come to rest in his leftie latte.

There is leftism in this writer but she makes a few spot on points.
I noticed that “America is an oppressor nation” was being taught in public schools back in the 80’s. It has only gotten worse, except for President Trump.
If memory serves, some Japanese pilots who crashed December 7th were assisted by Japanese US citizens to elude capture in Hawaii. In my college days, one of my party-line leftist buddies defended the interments, noting that the Japanese never had success setting up any kind of espionage or sabotage network in the US.

It was comical at the end when Burns brought up attacks on Synagogues and blamed white supremacists backed by Trump.
Comparing WW2 immigration policies that prevented admission of persecuted Jews with the current anti-open borders sentiment was ridiculous.
The real fascists are the leftists that rig elections and run the DOJ and the corrupt police state agencies FBI, DEA, IRS etc.
We fought the war to defeat an existential enemy, not to save any Jews.
