a drug used to treat addiction could be what millions of long Covid sufferers around the world need to finally address their symptoms.

Naltrexone is a generic drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat both alcohol and opioid addicts.

But in small trials it has been able to relieve long Covid patients of lingering ailments like brain fog and fatigue that last months after the initial infection.

The drug - sold under the brand name Revia - is now being touted as a crucial piece of the puzzle of long Covid that has stumped experts for over two years.

Larger trials are underway and scientists are still searching for the mechanism as to why naltrexone seems to be so effective against chronic Covid.

Current treatments for long Covid include therapy targeted at the symptoms a person is feeling to manage the condition, though there are no universal treatments.

Treatments include physical therapy, and drug to manage symptoms like chronic pain, respiratory issues and others.

I am using this for neuropathy in a very small dose. Hard to get a script for it. It seems to help.

You can ask your Doctor to use it for weight loss..some prescribe it for that.

I saw one Dr recommending dissolving it in water and drinking it in small doses. Don't know if that works. I chop mine up

Hhhhmmm...so I have to wonder if this helps the MANY other chronic disorders that suffer primarily from fatigue and “brain fog”.

I suffer much from the former, undiagnosed.

Whether or not you believe in Long Haul Covid there are a lot of diseases that give you similar symptoms. I have never had Covid and have many of the symptoms.

LDN helps me.

Those with Mast cell Syndrome or histamine intolerance might want to try it. It seems to help when I get a flare up from that. Also people with autoimmune issues have had some luck with it

I don’t take LDN every day. Just when symptoms flare up.

The poster here who has it so bad that she has very little she can eat might not benefit but those that have a lesser problem might find relief.

You shouldnt take this product during the day until you see how your body reacts. It puts me right to sleep

I drank boost and took some vitamins. Took a month but cured the long haul illness.

My advice is to look around the internet at anecdotal evidence for various issues and then talk to your doctor about trying it.

My Doctor was receptive. Not all are because it is an off label use.

Already have something that works.

It’s called Ivermectin and works for just about everyone.

No need to enrich the traitorous and evil Big Pharma anymore than we already have.

boost? is that like ‘Ensure’ ? I like ensure but I think it is less heathy than other brands... and has a lot of sugar.

it’s called LDN, low dose naltrexone. Generally 3-4.5mg at night. Causes your body to suppress it’s immune response which then gins it up to heal you (in theory)

Naltrexone is not expensive. You can get a naltrexone pill using Goodrx for 50 cents or less. That is 50 mg. People start out with .5 mg and gradually move it up to 5 mg.

I started with 5 mg because i had such a hard time chopping it up. Many use a compound pharmacy.

I did see a compound pharmacy that mixed it with something else..cant remember ..to use as a cream for psoriasis.

Does she use a compound pharmacy or does she just chop it up. Some of my pieces are so small I lose them when they fly off. It takes just a tiny piece to put me to sleep

The drug only works on people who finally realized that their “long Covid” condition was all in their head...

Thanks..since I know it helps I am going to have to find a better way to deal with it.

My Doctor did warn me about liver issues with this drug but am pretty sure it is when taking higher doses. Plus, I am not taking it daily.

Do you say the same thing for those that are using it for autoimmune issues

Just get jabbed and boosted and ALL of your problems will disappear as you head to heaven. How many jabs will it take? Results vary but Bill Gates probably knows how many for even the healthiest prejab fools that have fallen for the scam.
