Using American country songs to help tell an ancient Chinese tale just seems forced.
That’s fine. I love doing Christmas carols to TV shows. That always jolts the mind.
I’d love to go back and do US shows, but there’s not a single US TV show I’m willing to watch. The Asian dramas feel like the production quality of today tied to the American morals of the 1950’s. I’m not comfortable with today’s liberal ideas. I’m completely comfortable with Chinese traditional ideas. My fear is that it’s going to be Hollywood liberals infecting Chinese culture rather than visa versa. Luckily, the overdone crackdowns in China seem to be maintaining some of the traditional notions of good and evil, right and wrong, in TV land. Terrible method of keeping old notions.
IMHO, Tim McGraw is not country. He and his wife are far left liberal elitists. Always have been. He and Garth Brooks dropped C&W music right into the laps of the far left liberals.

The problem with the shows that I have made videos with is that I still remember them, more or less. So at some point I’ll go back to Get Smart, but it won’t be for a bit. I have 3 1/2 library bays with a 10’ ceiling stacked with DVDs. Another set of shelves is filled with boxes of CDs for the music I use. I look at the boxes of JAG, or Bones, or Sherlock Holmes, then I go back to new Chinese and Korean dramas. Is Home Imprisonment a real show? And is there a Perry Mason without Raymond Burr?
What are you watching?
We shouldn’t let liberals have all the good stuff. There are very few artists I’ll boycott for their liberalness. I figure when it drops from their hands, it becomes historical and public art. And I’m perfectly happy to use their liberal music to showcase Trump.
I am watching reruns. Perry Mason is always good no matter how many times I’ve seen it. Home improvement I like because Tim Allen makes me laugh
I watch local news. Not much else
Two excellent lawyer dramas are on viki.com. Like YouTube, you can watch for free with commercials and very cheap to get rid of commercials monthly.
