Family friends (white) ran a grocery store in the ghetto. For 3 generations - long before it became a ghetto.
They were there for 100 years, so knew the neighborhood, knew faces/people, knew the local pastors, etc... - so generally could control such problems and learned to adjust to doing mainly EBT business. The 4th generation had no interest in taking over the business.
So they sold it to some Arabs, who removed all the fresh fruits and vegetables, started selling liquor, and put anything of value behind bullet-proof glass.
They look annoying.
If Philadelphia-area has no more convenience stores fear not the democrats will subsidize them one way or another.
Have to keep the tribes happy never know when you have to call on them.
Directly from the architect for the alternate arsehole universe America now finds herself in...
C’mon man, You didn’t build that.
When this happens, that location should be permanently closed.
Will Wawa serve as a measurement now for how safe a city is?
““If we have a Pennsylvania company that doesn’t feel that the city of Philadelphia is worthy of their investments, we have a big problem on our hands,” Driscoll told the panel.”
Psst, they’re called Negroes.
“Cheech and Chong - Black Lassie”
Love that song.
God help the people in proximity to these roving beasts. They’ve practically taken these cities over.
Plan sounds good, but they’ll still burn the store down.
Shhhh... it’s not permitted to speak of the elephant in America’s living room.
Ha
I never had any of their records but of course saw one of them on Nash Bridges. Don Johnson had been friends with Marin for years before they were famous and invited him to be the costar. Cheech had a prior new series contract that would conflict but went to court and was released to appear on the new show with Johnson.
Youths?
Reality check: I grew up in South Jersey with a Wawa in the neighborhood. It was fantastic. So much better than 7-11 with a fresh deli and great hoagies where they'd cut the meat in front of you. They had deals with local dairies and had their own Wawa ice cream and milk, etc. But those days are gone. Still head and shoulders above 7-11 but the "fresh" food is pretty much all shipped in, shrinkwrapped and ready to be ripped open and put on a roll. Their hoagies remain okay but there are better places all around us here in the Philly area.
As they've grown and expended they've been stripping away what made it special.
Lots of deep suntans in Philly.
people run those businesses for the convenience of the neighborhood and this is how they are appreciated.....
“Boo!” = 3rd syllable
“Their hoagies remain okay but there are better places all around us here in the Philly area.”

There might be better places at the moment in Philly, but they are probably in danger too. Wawa is very popular here in the Lehigh Valley, and so far, nobody is robbing them.
That’s what the post office in black neighborhoods look like. Also the check in counter In Nigerian airports
