The publication claims that a critical moment has come in the economic war between Russia and the West.

LONDON, 13 October. /TASS/. The British magazine The Economist drew attention to the improvement of the economic situation in Russia, while Europe is teetering on the brink of a deep recession.

Under the headline "While Europe Falls into Recession, Russia is Climbing Out of It," the publication argues that the economic war between Russia and the West has reached a critical moment. However, despite the difficulties in the Russian economy, at the moment, the recession is likely to come to an end.

The magazine backs up its conclusion with data from Goldman Sachs, which calculates a "current activity indicator" that gives an idea of how things are going in the economy from month to month. Thus, according to the data obtained, activity in Russia is significantly higher than in large European countries. The consumer spending indicator, calculated by Sberbank, sank after the mobilization decree, but has risen slightly since then. The volume of production in the automotive industry has also recovered, having fallen to almost zero a few months ago, which indicates that manufacturers have managed to replace supplies from Western countries.

Today, monthly imports of goods to Russia in dollar terms are almost guaranteed to exceed last year's average, the magazine points out. In its latest forecast reports, published on October 11, the IMF has improved its forecast for the Russian economy for this year. In April, Russia's GDP was expected to fall by 8.5%. It is now expected to decline by 3.4%. There is nothing to rejoice here, but such a decline seems to be a solvable problem, the publication emphasizes.

Russia is the largest commodity supplier on earth. The world will always need food, fertilizer, oil/gas, timber, metals, etc. Russia is a major exporter of all of the above. If the West doesn’t want to buy the commodities listed above, somebody else always will.

TASS is not “news” it is propaganda.

I despise the Leftist EU leadership and their Communist friends (WEF +).

Putin is a Nationalist. But he is no friend of freedom.

I must admit that our current Leftist (#ComDem) Regime is even worse than the Russian oligarchy.

Western sanctions, launched in response to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in February, have wounded Russia’s long-term economic prospects. Blocking the world’s ninth-largest economy from accessing foreign technology and expertise has cut its growth potential by as much as half, forecasts suggest. Output of oil and gas, the lifeblood of the Russian economy, is about 3% lower than it was before the invasion and may fall further once European embargoes come into effect at the turn of the year. In the first six months of the war somewhere in the region of 250,000 to 500,000 Russians fled the country, reckons Liam Peach of Capital Economics, a consultancy. Lots were highly educated and well paid.

Don’t the 1/4 to 1/2 million mostly educated Russians you mentioned represent the ones who left before the new mobilization. It has been anywhere from 500 to 800 thousand more since then.

” The British magazine The Economist drew attention to the improvement of the economic situation in Russia, while Europe is teetering on the brink of a deep recession. “

That Putin guy is EVERYWHERE. Now, out of the blue, he just took over the Economist and is forcing them at gunpoint to print Russian propaganda.

Thankfully, us Ukraine supporters have CNN to find out the TRUTH about what’s going on in Ukraine, along with why that war started - which was because Putin was bored the morning of Feb 24th, so he decided to attack another country, out of the blue.

I know the truth because I trust CNN, not the Putin-run Economist...just like I trusted CNN on vaccines, Trump collusion with Russia, the 2020 election being the cleanest ever, and everything else they report on.

That’s roughly 1 million Russians who hate Putin and who the Neocons were counting on to overthrow Putin - so I suspect Putin is happy to see them gone.

And that is a shame. I rememeber reading it every week for several years back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
It provided me with a great deal of insights into the world economy.

I’m following your posts since you’re posting excellent info.

I found a short clip referencing this book which names the US as an enemy to France.

These are interesting times we are living in. A real transformation is taking place and since it threatens our world wide hegemony we aren’t taking it well.

This military crisis has put enormous pressure on our European vassals and it isn’t surprising that resentment is growing. Europe has been forced to destroy itself in order for us to destroy our competitors/adversaries (Rand plan).

This “war” was planned and deliberate; it is our plan for “containing Russia” also known as “weakening, destabilizing and creating regime change in Russia” thus eliminating any possibility that Russia can regain “superpower” status.

It isn’t going to end well for Europe or for us...:-(
