The pizza future has arrived -- that is, if you want pizza from a machine.
ZaBot, an ATM-style pizza machine, has set up shop in Southfield, serving up hot pizza 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The ZaBot Pizza Machine is located on Greenfield Road, south of 13 Mile Road. It’s in the parking lot, and you can pull up and order pizza directly from the machine, and pizza shows up in about three minutes. The machine includes two pizza ovens inside.
The menu includes your standard pizza options, like cheese, pepperoni, veggie lovers and meat lovers, with some specialty pizzas, like a cheeseburger pizza, Detroit coney pizza and breakfast pizza.
The ZaBot also serves hot cookies, cheese sticks and soft pretzels.
Too much work. I want a hot pizza and a cold six-pack delivered to my door by drone. The refrigerator robot will pay for it and get it all the way to the couch, where I’ll be busy making angry Internet posts about those dang lazy Millennials.
I like anchovy and mushrooms.
One of the best frozen I have found is Freschetta brand. Their 4 cheese is excellent. Other very good ones are Brew Pub/Lottsa Mozza, Bellatoria artisan crust 4 cheese, and Screamin Sicilian sausage or cheese.
I’d try ‘em, but it says they have pizza ovens? I’ve never heard of a pizza oven that bakes in 3 minutes.
They have it down to a science. And they have made the dough in such a way that the cooking process they developed, works. While it get the dough ready, they probably even preheat some of the meat toppings.
I’m thinking a machine like this can go haywire and flings pizza across the room....
Well, why not.
In my 40s I can’t stand pizza any more. Don’t know why, I used to love it until then
Me too especially when I’m cleared to have one.
One my aunts made the best homemade supreme pizzas at the time. Late 70s to the mid 80s. A game of old fashioned monopoly or two as great entertainment.
Greenfield south of 13? Capri Pizza is right there. Okay they aren’t open around the clock but they are way better than any machine pizza.
I tried one. My password is Bosco. It mistook it for a topping.
Thank God it's unaffordable!
I would absolutely eat it with relish if I had to, but not my favorite if I could find anything else. My dad was career Navy, and he didn't cook for us much, but when he did, it was things like fried Spam and creamed chipped beef on toast (SOS) which I despised! But hey, food is food when there isn't much...:)
Gah! That was ANOTHER thing my dad cooked for us when my mom was unable to cook due to illness...Chef Boyardee spaghetti out of a can!
Child abuse!
Arrrgh! I was a picky eater as a kid, and that was nearly the worst for me! But I will admit to haven’t had any of their products since the 1960’s!
I’m workin at Greenfield and the Lodge. I may stop on the way home one night!
My dream come true. I love pizza.
There goes those minimum wage starter jobs that today’s kids mostly refuse to take.
But what about White Pizza, don't all Pizza's matter?
As long as there were no cucumbers on it....
“I eat leftover pizza cold for breakfast.”
Yep. With a nice, hot cup of coffee, my favorite breakfast.
Will Spit Out Hot Pizza in Just 3 Minutes
