In 1953, Queen Elizabeth drove around and waved to crowds of school kids lining the streets.
I attended that school with Maggie Thatcher’s Secretary of Education- Gil Watts.
1963. Worked for Jim Brown, mayor of Tybee Island, Ga
1965 Worked with John Rousakis in Savannah. GA - in insurance - he became mayor of Savannah, Ga.
2012 Johns Hopkins - my physician’s and Ben Carson’s reception areas were adjoined.
Tony Snow was being treated in the DC physician’s office where I worked.
Atty.Gen. William Sessions and I, nearly got hit by a car while jay-walking in DC.
Father of the Metro = Carlton Sickles. gave me his 38 year service pin when a colleague told him I used the Metro every day.
I made a phone call to The Washington Times and Wesley Pruden answered it - we chatted a while - nice man.
2003. Worked with Patrick Hope, now a Dem rep. for Virginia.
Flew on a plane with Cal Ripken.
Saw Gerald Ford up close.
Saw Billy Idol up close at a local TV station - he was sweet.

Dale Murphy was in my little sister’s class in high school, two years behind me. I don’t remember him from then.
My father met either Charles Lindbergh or Eddie Rickenbacker (I forget which, he was a big fan of both).
He saw Queen Elizabeth in the late 1950s when she passed through Maryland and toured our local Super Giant grocery store.
I was a few feet away from Muhammad Ali when he opened a grocery store one street over from where my dad saw the Queen.
I met Barry Goldwater in his capacity as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee when he was shown my ops floor. I had advance warning so I had my Goldwater ‘64 pin on.

Met Lee Greenwood and talked to him for a long time. Was stranded in Dallas on a spring break trip and met him at the Hyatt Regency (my buddy’s dad paid for our room) and told him our situation. We were eating dinner in the diner at the hotel and he was there with his manager and picked up the tab for our food. Very nice guy and very interested in our plight.
Met and chatted with Fred Thompson at a campaign event in ‘08
Met a bunch of the guys from Survivor who were staying in our hotel after a show we went to including the original lead singer
Shook hands with Michael Anthony and got a hug from Sammy Hagar
Went pee next to Steve Perry at Arrowhead Stadium at a Chiefs game
Met comedian Joey “Coco” Diaz at a comedy club.

Met Debra Winger when she was dating Bob Kerrey and spending a lot of time in Lincoln. Stunnigly beautiful in person. All my juvenile brain could think of when I shook her hand was “I saw your boobs in Officer and a Gentleman”
My grandparents met Bonnie and Clyde. They asked them for directions in Beaumont, Texas.
It was a scary time. The place really shook badly and those elevated throughfares and backfilled land areas really suffered.
Found out a couple of months later when I met her mother that Sam was actually Lady Samantha, and her mother was a Duchess.

Met Frank Zappa at a lecture he gave about censorship at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He autographed my Drowning Witch album cover which was promptly stolen during a party. Would love to have that now.
When Jimmy Carter was president, a family member somehow got us invited to attend church with him in Plains. Shook his hand afterward.

The team of doctors at the intensive care unit that treated my wife for blood clots in her leg and lungs, and they saved her life.
General Raymond Davis, a Medal of Honor awardee during the Korean War. He was the main speaker at the commissioning ceremony of the USS Chosin. Later, during the reception, my wife and I, spoke with him and I got to hear his thoughts concerning Jane Fonda.
While working at the Pentagon (2009-2019), I met many military people who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, some with Purple Hearts. Worked with a E-5 buck sargent (Army) who was awarded a Purple Heart. Some of the finest men I ever met and to me, deserving of the title of hero.
I deposed Zsa zsa Gabor as part of her bankruptcy proceedings. Also met Linda Hamilton that way.
