The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) denounced as “classic anti-Semitism” remarks by the rapper Kanye West, who in a radio interview last week attempted to explain President Obama’s inability to gain momentum on his policy priorities in Washington, D.C. with the outrageous statement that, “Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people.”
“If the comments are true as reported, this is classic anti-Semitism,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “There it goes again, the age-old canard that Jews are all-powerful and control the levers of power in government. As a celebrity with a wide following, Kanye West should know better. We hope that he will take responsibility for his words, understand why they are so offensive, and apologize to those he has offended.”

Reading this drivel from the Anti-Decency League reminds me of a line told to me by my girlfriend in college about 50 years ago, slightly paraphrased for the audience and the situation. Still apropos today:
“It’s (rhymes with likes) like Foxman that make it difficult for Jews like me”
A wise young lady. Shame we never stayed together, in retrospect.
A Jewish friend of mine says essentially the same thing, that for liberal Jews, they think as liberals first and as Jews second, if at all.

Maybe take a look at the blacks of certain parts of Africa, who are some of the most murderous people on the planet and throughout recorded history always have been. that wasn't caused by the American govt, it was caused by triblalism and it seems to have been brought to the rest of the world these days.

Not a fan of Kayne but in this case he has a point and the whining ADL is deliberately misconstruing what he said.
When so many “Black” families lack even such basic connections as a father in the house, it is unlikely they will “Network” with others privately or in business very well.
Add in the Thug-Life contingent and active efforts by “The Black community” to tear down any members getting ahead and it becomes almost a surprise when any “Black” folk do well.
Don’t fool yourself. He converted many to the right cause. He is doing the right thing.

How many Jews go to Harvard?....I think its like 25-30% and entry is based quite a bit on if your parents went there or if you're parents are big donors....

conversely, what are the chances for an ordinary caucasian Christian from podunk, usa to get into Harvard?....after the legacy admits, and the admissions exclusively for minorities, there are not a lot of slots.....
....connections....its all about who you connect to and if you go to Harvard, you're paying to get connections.
The key word is “parents”, how many black children grow up in homes with two loving parents?
Some families grow apart without an appointed connector.
Meaning, kids may rely on their grandmas to arrange parties or uncles to invite a nephew to tour the same college that uncle used to attend. When that grandma or that uncle die, there is a leadship vaccuum in the family dynamic. Sometimes a new generation elects to keep the traditional get togethers going, and sometimes they do not care enough to make it happen.
Some families will disown a child if that child insists on going against parental advice. Adivice for career choice, for a marriage choice. For an investment choice. This could happen with any race or ethnicity. Even if there is a truce, years down the line, the basic trust and concern for the other’s happiness may never be as strong as it once was.
And what about anti-Semite Al Sharpton?
At least for the Orthodox Jews, since they aren't allowed to make fire on the Sabbath, they aren't allowed to drive.
This means that they all need to live within walking distance of their Synagogue. This unintentionally aids in building up and maintaining strong Jewish communities.
Also, Kosher Laws, mean that Jews will tend to shop and dine at similar establishments meaning that they will bump into each other on a regular basis, which further unites the community.
