A student and baseball player at El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills died of a suspected fentanyl overdose on Oct. 3, officials said.
Cade Kitchen, 17, was described as a stand-out student and a dedicated athlete.
School officials have not released many details about the death, but indicated it was the result of a fentanyl overdose.
It is unclear if the drugs were consumed on or off campus and how they were obtained.

It’s beyond disappointing.
Smuggling acrossed the border in many different ways, people swallow small bundles, in every space in a car and shipped via mail
I think today it’s much easier to hide it from parents than back in our day.
correct
“Students at Bernstein High School in Hollywood were hit with the same tragedy last month when two teen girls overdosed on campus.
“Authorities later said other students who purchased the same counterfeit pills also overdosed, but survived.”
Now it showing up looking like candy, it’s in Jr high schools too.
They are also lacing candy with fentanyl. Skittles and “rainbow” candy. It’s getting into middle schools. Gonna be one heck of a Halloween.
If my family had nor moved to San diego in early 1968 I would have graduated in 1973
He looks like he’s about 12-13 years old in that photo. I’d be curious to see what he looked like at 17.
Probably OK because Slow Joe and Mayorkas got their 10% off the top.
If the guy thought he was taking a Percocet or an Oxycodone, or that he was eating Skittles candy, THEN IT WAS NOT A DRUG OVERDOSE! It is then a case of TNTENTIONAL POISONING! 300+ are poisoned every day, while Benedict Biden cruelly replaces the dead Americans with ILLEGAL ALIENS!!
INTENTIONAL
Until detail are out won’t lay blame on him could have been as simple as asking a friend for an aspirin.
There are reports of fentanyl being contained in folded up currency. Pick it up, dead.
I wonder who it was that stuck a gun to the kids head and forced him to take the overdose?
It was a laced pain pill and he didn’t know.
It’s nice to see compassion for a dead child.
We need to crush the producers.
Then I have to ask the question: Why would anyone take “medicine” not proscribed by a doctor.
Because they wanted to feel “high” from a pain pill.
You said it all right there. It’s as if every child faces a gauntlet of 100 evils taking their best shot at ruining their lives. Parents can only do so much, but many things, including blind luck, are required for a successful outcome. Very glad your children made it through the minefield.
I agree, but will the mex gov allow that to happen
