A student and baseball player at El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills died of a suspected fentanyl overdose on Oct. 3, officials said.
Cade Kitchen, 17, was described as a stand-out student and a dedicated athlete.
School officials have not released many details about the death, but indicated it was the result of a fentanyl overdose.
It is unclear if the drugs were consumed on or off campus and how they were obtained.

Well...at least it wasn’t The Jab.
We do know who they were obtained from. Foreign national maggots openly crossing our borders illegally because the Brandon Administration is one worthless POS.
Because of Brandon’s buddies in Beijing.
I think it’s manufactured in China, sent to Mexico, then brought in.
So the filthy ChiComs are as guilty as the Mexican cartels.
Good.. one less idiot.
He was a stand out athlete who took drugs.
I know he was a kid, but if he didn’t ingest this stuff he would be alive.
Of course, the authorities should find his dealer and charge him/her/it with murder. We have to start making it “hurt” to be a dealer. If your drugs kill someone, your life should be forfeit.
That’s how I see it too. The Biden Crime family’s pals and customers. The Mexicans and the Red Chinese.
So disappointing.
Actually, the chemicals are imported into Mexico. They are not “special” chemicals, so they are not easy to track.
The drug is produced in Mexico.
We should identify where they are produced and who is running the cartels…and drone the shit out of them.
We spend too much effort on the small players. Take out the leaders. The rats will scatter.
Sounds good to me. We know who’s in charge in Mexico.
I should add, I think our government is complicit.
I graduated from El Camino real high school in 1975.
“Cade played baseball as a freshman and sophomore, then gave up the sport to focus on other interests, baseball coach Josh Lienhard said. He took up the guitar.”
This is a sad end to what seems to have been a great kid. I don’t know, but suspect that Cade had changed a lot from the smiling, freckle-faced baseball player shown in every pic that comes up in an internet search. Does America’s toxic “culture” destroy every promising child or does it just seem that way?
I thank god my two kids made it out of high school unscathed. You can do everything right as parents, and still have a tragic outcome.
Of course they are. If they weren’t, we would have troops in Mexico by now.
He looks like such a clean cut young man. What a waste.
Second most likely he was poisoned by someone else.
Third is that it was something else he took that was adulterated or counterfeit. In particular, prescribed or illegal Oxycodone for pain that was actually Fentanyl.
The parents of these fentanyl kids are the ones who really pizzmeoff. Every bleeping one of them knows their kid was doing one drug or another. Thot it was cute. Gave them the money. The ones who make it on TV just bleet and whine about the quality of the dope-—never about why their genius in the making was doing dope in the first place. The only good thing I see is that we really are getting rid of some serious future politicians and dumbasses. There’s just no room in my part of the world for folks who are that freeking stoopid.
