Don't the Czechs want an aircraft carrier? Politicians and embassies also picked up on the joke about the annexation of Královec
The joke about joining Kaliningrad, or Královec, to the Czech Republic continues to be picked up by top politicians and embassies. The American Embassy in Prague offers the Czech Republic an aircraft carrier, Deputy Minister of Finance Jiří Valenta jokingly plans that it will be necessary to increase the GDP of the annexed region after taking over Královec. Senator Miroslava Němcová proposes a letter in which the Czechia would inform the Russians about the accession of Kaliningrad to the Czech Republic.
Miroslava Němcová shared a real letter on Twitter, in which the Russian embassy informs the Czech side about the alleged accession of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia.
"We are preparing an answer. Maybe like this? 'The Senate of the Czech Republic has the honor of handing you the document on the referendum and the accession of Královka to the Czech Republic. We use this opportunity to assure you of our unwavering support for Ukraine and our deep contempt for V. Putin and his regime,'" the senator jokingly suggests.
Miroslava Němcová @Nemcova_Mirka It came in a copy to the Senate. We are preparing an answer. Maybe like this? Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský also joined the debate. On Twitter in the morning, he published the text: "Partnership with our Baltic neighbors has never been stronger." The Czechia currently has the only neighbor with access to the Baltic, namely Poland. By annexing Královec, it would also gain Lithuania, and thus it would be possible to use the plural "with our Baltic neighbors."
Even Deputy Minister of Finance Jiří Valenta did not miss the debate . He is already setting the first goals he wants to achieve when the Czech Republic takes over Královec. According to him, the first task will be to increase the current GDP of "this region neglected by Russia."
"Colleagues from MMR, MPO and ČEB are already preparing transformation plans - the result will be a 10% - 15% increase in the total GDP of the Czech Republic," the deputy wrote in a joke.
Map of the renamed Kaliningrad Oblast renamed to Královécky Region.... Institutions are not left behind either. For example, the official account of the US Embassy in Prague responded on Wednesday to a tweet by the Czech Ministry of Defense, which reported that the Czech Republic had sent a non-binding request for an offer of 24 F-35 aircraft to the United States. "Wouldn't you also need an aircraft carrier?" the American embassy jokingly responds.
The Czech Statistical Office informed that it is preparing an additional "Census of the population, houses, apartments and ports in Královec," when the commissioners will also distribute a statistical yearbook "so that residents of the entire region can read information about their homeland."
Not only the Czechs, but also the Poles, from whom the original idea of taking away Russian territory came from, are gaining ground. One Polish account suggested that singer Helena Vondráčková could be in command of the Czech aircraft carrier in Kaliningrad.
