The trunk refused to open
Coming attractions;
“ESCAPE FROM NEW HUMMER”
...roasted alive
Speaking of which, a word of caution regarding uber/left.
ALWAYS check the rear locks and windows before getting in. Some drivers activate the child safety features on the rear doors, which would, in the event of a collision, with the driver unconscious, leave you locked and trapped in the back seat. Now imagine that same collision resulting in a fire.
Also,I always sit behind the driver, for personal defensive reasons. Provided to all for cautionary consideration.
...that is all
How’s this for an idea? Read the story as written by the truck owner himself rather than at some parrot site/parasite:

Yep. Worst cars on the road. In the past, a boss of mine had to sue GM because out of the 18 months he owned his truck from brand new, he only got to use it for several months on the road. In the shop the rest of the time for various drivetrain problems where the engine failed and trans failed and differential failed, paint and finish flaws, chassis problems, etc. One time he was parked facing downhill in the rain, backed up, and a cascade of water fell on him from the ceiling - at the servicing a crescent wrench was found in the ceiling. Boss won the lawsuit and vowed to never buy another American vehicle.
True that. Most of the time the EV is charged at the dealer for you as part of the new car service much like a professional wash. Sometimes when an EV is bought from a dealer that is new to EV's they don't know how to charge it, even though many of them have a Level II charger on the site. So if the EV was used for a lot of test drives before you bought it, and the one guy at the dealer who knows EV's was off a couple of days, your first stop from the dealer after buying is a Level III DC fast charger. LOL
When I was test driving different EV's of different makers, when we got back to the dealer, two different salesmen told me after the test drive that they hoped I knew how to hook it up to the charger because they didn't. LOL
Of course, none of the cars I test drove (and eventually bought one of) were 6-figures like the Hummer or the Hummer's older cousin, Tesla. LOL The Kia EV6 is a good EV and much cheaper. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a little pricier, has a few luxuries, and made for taller people. Both get over 3 miles/kWh (3.3 miles/kWh DC power, but count a max of 10% loss from your A/C wall outlet when converting to DC during the charge). At home I can get a charging speed of 27 miles for every hour charged (I usually charge it slower at 15 miles/hour) in either of my 240V outlets. On trips at the Level III road chargers I get 250 miles in 10-15 minutes. (The last 50 miles of charging on top of that take another 15-20 minutes if I want to wait on it to slow charge to keep from damaging the battery. But that's good if we're stopping longer anyway to grab a bite to eat.)
If I'm in a big hurry on a road trip and don't want to stop every 200-ish miles (read: my wife isn't with me asking if she can stop ever 200 miles to walk a bit), I take my ICE pickup. But if she's on the trip, her every now and then needing to stretch her legs are conducive to the EV's range and charging speed.
Note
The only surprise is, Roman Mica, of The Fast Lane Truck tried to actually drive it instead of simply parking it out front of his house or his office.
We all know people do not buy $150,000 electric vehicles for transportation or for actual work. They buy them in order to Virtue Signal that they are Woke and hip.
No time to read...does the Hummer have a happy ending?
I’ve never had that problem.
Roman made Breitbart again. TFL loves getting the views from Breitbart.
——fix the cigarette lighter——
But it had good pickup.
Next line....
Do you think I should apologize to the guy next door who owns a gas engine pickup? Maybe I shouldn’t have called him a MAGA cap wearing Trump loving hick who isn’t smart enough to buy an electric car like me? I guess he took it the wrong way.
Frank Sinatra's lifelong close friend Jilly Rizzo died in 1993 in a new car with electronically locked doors he didn't remember how to open in a crash. He burned to death inside.
So I can see that generation getting confused by push button locks.
I'm building another weather station project based on plug-together I2C sensors. One of them ordered in August 2021 is still backordered. I have a Tupperware bowl filled with most of the parts to build the station. The software is done. Build the hardware, burn the firmware to the micro-controller and off we go.
I wore my Trump Tee shirt without thinking to the grocery store Saturday morning. I live in Memphis. You should hear all the things I was called, every time by a mask wearing lunatic. Why they are still wearing masks is a whole other matter. The store manager actually came out, opened up a register, and gave me a hug. I guess he thought a riot was brewing and expedited my departure?
If I got biz in the ‘hood (like the pull-a-part junkyard) I wear my “Caliph Baraq is my homeboy” t-shirt.
Being jeered at by jerks is a mark of pride.
These days in my region (85% Dem) putting a Trump bumper sticker on your vehicle means you will soon be reviewing old pictures of how it looked before it was put on cinder blocks, stripped and burned.
Great shirt. Lucky they can't read or you'd be attacked.
