Pay no attention to all the blinking red and yellow lights in the automated control center.

They’re so confident in this plane they won’t even allow their own pilot to fly it

Obviously not for two way traffic in the inner city. Hmm, and what about powerlines and traffic lights? Hardly a taxi replacement.

Just fly into a bright cloud and shove the plane’s recharging cable into a unicorn’s rear. Rainbows are a great source of power up there too. The aircrew may have to fight a leprechaun for it.
First crash and the whole crackpot idea is finished.

Wisk Aero,[ . . . ] has debuted its sixth generation remote-piloted “air taxi,”
So . . . what happened to the first five generations?
Are they like the first four tries of Chanel?
The first eight plans from outer space?
Jack Daniels' first six attempts?

What possibly could go wrong with *no pilot* and *crappy batteries* at 3-10,000 ft?

So now, all a terrorist has to do is break into one of the remote control stations and he will able to crash a plane loaded with people into an occupied building. But he won’t get his 72 virgins that way.

Stupid. I fly a 172 that can stay airborne for 12 hours non stop. Do I just add more batteries to stay up?
To: ChicagoConservative27
Because the electric cars are doing so very well.

If it takes Tom 4 days to recharge an electric truck, how many months does Sam take to recharge an electric passenger plane?
To: ChicagoConservative27
A lot of planes can pretty much take off and land by themselves already. A pilot onboard will probably be needed to reassure passengers.
Actually I’ve heard the cockpit in the future will only contain a pilot and a dog. The dogs job is to bite the pilot if the pilot touches any of the controls.
To: ChicagoConservative27
No pilot and you hope the batteries will last.
No way, no how.

Put some peddles with each seat so that passengers can peddle to recharge the batteries while in flight.
