Vladimir Putin yesterday claimed that four occupied Ukrainian regions would remain part of Russia ‘for ever’ in a bizarre 40-minute tirade that included rants about ‘Satanism’ and colonialism.
The rambling speech formed part of a ceremony in Moscow that formally confirmed his land grab following a series of rigged referendums.
Ambling late to the podium in front of hundreds of ashen-faced officials, the despot lashed out at the West’s ‘neo-colonial’ foreign policy. ‘I want the Kyiv authorities and their real masters in the West to hear me, so that they remember this,’ Putin said.
‘People living in Luhansk and Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia are now becoming our citizens for ever.’

In any event, my original comment was that “Might makes right” went out the window with that murder, because God punished Cain by putting a curse on him and banishing him. If “might makes right,” then God would not have punished Cain. But, God DID punish Cain, because what Cain did to Abel was NOT right.

My point is you APPEARED to assume that Abel was weaker than Cain, in your comparison to the Uke-Rus tragedy. There is no scripture that points to Abel being weaker than Cain. And there is no scripture that shows they locked horns. The Bible says that Cain rose up and slew his brother.
There had been no murders yet. I believe Abel had no reason to expect something that had never happened. And being jealous about who had presented the better offering certainly wouldn’t appear to be anything close to the stunt Jacob and Rebekah pulled on Esau. I don’t blame Esau for being angry about how that turned out.
