Noah, 38, who hails from South Africa, took over the show from former host Jon Stewart in 2015.
Viewing figures were typically around 1.5 million for each episode during Stewart's tenure and rose as high as 2.5 million in 2013.
Nine years on, and viewing figures for the week of September 19-25 showed The Daily Show pulled in an audience of just 363,000, according to television and film ratings site ShowbuzzDaily.com - a drop partially attributed to the rising popularity of YouTube and streaming platforms versus legacy media, but also associated with the show's increasing political bias and perceived tilt towards embracing 'woke' ideology.

Much like SNL it started out cutting edge, LOL funny slowly it became one sided, mean spirited, racist and predictable. Eventually it wasn’t worth the time to DVR.
Stewart’s entire show every night wasn’t centered around what ever Trump was up to. That might’ve had something to do with it.

seems kind of pointless to me: the new wokester will simply be the same as the old wokester ...
I assume he is on at the same time as Gutfeld! or their shows overlap. Noah is getting his ass kicked by his exact opposite.
I stream Gutfeld! fairly regularly. It’s pretty good, but for an old guy like me I’d rather a late night program to be non-political. A little politics existed in late night going back to Carson, but it didn’t dominate the program. That was acceptable and since I didn’t feel like I was being attacked. I can laugh at myself and I am often self deprecating. However, when nearly all of traditional media is constantly attacking traditional American values (my values) my tolerance falls to zero.
360k? inflated numbers, the guy is a stone cold no talent bore.
Always stuck in my craw that this AFRICAN could earn an enviable salary here by insulting us. We’ve got enough Americans who do that already. Imports aren’t needed.

I consider myself a guy with a pretty good sense of humor. Quite sophomoric at times, love sign field,....
But this guy has never said anything that I found remotely humorous at all.

The only current comedian I find somewhat funny is Bill Burr.
Never saw it, but curious as to who is the next token the seat will belong to. An asian lesbian midget? Just a guess.
Seriously, that line up would attract more viewers.
