Now that I think of it, a YT video showed two Jet-Skis making the trip. The black guy talked and filmed, while the white guy navigated. They completed the trip, but I don’t recall where they finally landed.

Sam Holmes Sailing on YouTube did it on a Hobie cat. It almost sank.
Not when I am hungry.
I was in St Thomas in May and a large group of Jet Skiers rode in from Puerto Rico. It is an annual thing for these guys. they run up and down the Caribbean Many of the jet skis were equipped with extra gas tanks and extra storage capacities with other supplies. They also did this in calm waters. I imagine it could be done with a large group like this but the weather timing would have to be right and you would have to have extra gas. Preferable with a large group so you are not stranded alone.
Hopefully he survived. If he did, they are hiring employees at the CDC who have the same amount of synapses firing as the guy evidently has.
We’ll know soon enough when the jet ski appears in the middle of the desert and he walks out of the UFO still drunk.
Never do that. Even on a calm day most people caravan from Miami or the keys with 1 or 2 other boats. Its a 3 hour ride from Islamorada to Bimini.
Definitely one for the “Hold muh beer” record book.
Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship...
(AOC is asking....)

Gasoline is lighter than water, so you could have float tanks that you tow behind for refueling.
I always thought a “jet ski” was the kind you stand on, and they got banned, as opposed to a personal watercraft that you sit on. It seem like people are calling personal watercraft “jet skis”.

“Jet Ski is the brand name of a personal watercraft (PWC) manufactured by Kawasaki, a Japanese company. The term is often used generically to refer to any type of personal watercraft used mainly for recreation, and it is also used as a verb to describe the use of any type of PWC.”
I doubt the engineers who design jetskis would advise trying this with one.
