Ladies and gentlemen, this here is the most ice-cold gunslinging lawman in all of Washington:

Yeah. Dude calmly parked, put down his coffee, grabbed his rifle, sighted in with his red dot, used the cruiser to brace himself, then downed an active shooter at 183 yards!
He was probably whistling the "Andy Griffith" tune the whole time too.
Suspect down.
Absolutely legendary.

The Pierce County Force Investigation Team released the video as part of its ongoing investigation into the shooting. Investigators concluded Collins fired off 15 rounds, while Tacoma police officers returned nine rounds, all of them over a 16-minute period.
The last shot came from a TPD officer, identified as Christopher Munn, who fired his weapon 183 yards away.

Not really. My Aimpoint red dot has a 2 MOA dot. That’s 4 inches at 200 yards, or about the size of the kill zone for a head shot. If you know your drops, and I do know my drops, it’s a pretty easy shot.
Zeroed at 100 yards there’s about 10-1/2 inches of drop with a 55 grain soft point bullet.
Easy peasy.

I put a scope on my bolt-action 30.06 and did a bore sight with no aides. On the paper at 200 yds.
Poor Marine handling target. I came with 200 rounds. After a bit the rifle wouldn’t hold a group.
Not that miraculous.
