I see EV’s being situationally practical. An EV golf cart, completely practical. A cheap EV vehicle for in town errands, practical. But as a workhorse, for distance drives, back country... not practical.

I have a 23 foot Monterey boat. I was really concerned that any electric vehicle would be able to tow this for any distance or to be able to get the boat out of the water.

A YouTuber with 1.4 million followers attempted to tow a 1930 Ford Model A truck with his brand new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck

He should try towing his Ford Lightning with his Model A to see how far it will tow it.

Cut that performance another 30% in winter.

Electric. It’s fun.

That’s what they refuse to tell you, EVs ARE NOT supposed to be practical. In the NWO you will not be allowed to travel very far from home if at all.

Does the 150 in F-150 mean 1.5 tons towing capacity?

I know Hoovie and bought a car from him earlier this year . He been fixing and selling cars since he was 12 so he knows what he’s talking about.

If anyone knows Hoovies Garage then you know the CAR WIZARD.

I think the future of electric vehicles is going to be hybrid.

Gas engines have an optimal ‘idle’ speed and is great for giving good gas mileage if you can gear up to cruise at that speed, Electrics are better at Acceleration (and can recover electricity on deceleration!)

Should have bought one with the tow package. It includes a solar panel amd wind tirbine that will extend his total range an additional .01 miles.

It would seem that the only way to make EVs practical would be to have exchangeable battery units at every charging station.

Driver would pull in, exchange a unit, pay a rental fee, and drive off. Of course, that is wrought with problems, too.

A 45-minute recharge every 100 miles is impractical.
