Those opposing a socialist takeover of America are becoming less tame every day.
New York magazine is suddenly realizing that the Republicans will likely retake the House of Representatives in the midterm election. They are not happy. They just ran a piece titled: “The MAGA House Will Make the Tea Party Look Tame.” The article included this little beauty:
If the tea party was rightfully derided as a hard-right, recalcitrant bloc with no serious interest in governing, the 2023 House Republican majority could make that era of instability seem almost quaint in comparison.
Panic much? The title is correct, and the quote, reeking with their utter disdain for Republicans, even illustrates how we got here. But the article didn't ask the most important question: If conservatives are getting less tame, why is that?
It's because our bureaucratic overlords and their Democrat sponsors are still not listening to the grievances of a large, and growing, number of Americans.
Barack Obama was supposed to be our first postracial president. His election should have proved that we were moving past our racist history. He even promised us a unifying administration if elected. We took the bait and gave him a chance. He delivered divisiveness, uncontrolled borders, worldwide apologies for America, and started us down the path of annual trillion-dollar deficits.
We had concerns and wanted to talk. The Lightbringer's response: "The election is over." In other words: I won, you lost, no more discussion is necessary, deal with it. And with that, Barack Obama triggered the formation of the Tea Party.
The Tea Party started as a grassroots movement to push back against the leftist fiscal policies that would enslave our children to a mountain of debt. It was a peaceful movement. They held rallies and protests all over America. Everyone was welcome.

The very simple reason why conservatives are not just taking it anymore, and are massively pushing back, is that the Left has made it abundantly clear what is going to happen if they gain sufficient power. That is nothing more and nothing less than an American version of Communism - they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore, they’re PROUD of it. Well, we’ve seen this story before. We know how it ends, and we are not going to tolerate that. They openly talk about reeducating or eliminating tens of millions of people, just like Joseph Stalin and Chairman Mao. Nope, not here. This country was founded upon the ideal of maximumizing human liberty as much as is possible while being consistent with an orderly society. The job of government is to facilitate and protect those liberties, not to control or eliminate them, much less enslave or murder the people. This country truly is the last, best hope of mankind, and conservatives have finally woken up to the reality that if they don’t aggressively defend their liberties, not only will those liberties disappear, but they, themselves, may well disappear.
The fact that the Left doesn’t like this, means that we are on the right track.
Tea Party was afflicted with people who used it to further their own political careers...Katrina Pierson, for example. She saw the opportunity to run for office and/or multiple appearances on cable news, not to promote the interests of the TEA Party.
Most politicians are actors, who pretend to be whatever they think will get them elected.
‘And rebellion against God.’
well, apparently God does not care much about it, so why should anyone else...?
“How many Republicans swept into office as Tea Party candidates never lived up to their campaign promises once they got to Washington?”
You are quite right. As an Iowan who moved to Ohio, I recall watching the campaign and election of Senator Joni Ernst and her cutting pork ads that hearkened to cutting the nuts off of hogs, and what she’d do in DC.
How much money has she voted to spend since she was first elected? And stands for NOTHING.
I haven’t heard or seen her face on the J6 political prisoners being tortured and disfigured in jail cells a stone’s throw from her office either. No republicans really.
MTG, Jordan and Gaetz are among the precious few with guts, and they are despised in DC.
how well has turning the other cheek and taking the high road worked for us so far?
Prescinding from your intimation that Jesus issued a fallible rule, fair enough - there has been a lot of recent Bad Stuff...the election, vaxx mandates, parents treated like enemy combatants at school board meetings, stagflation, Bidet clearly in a state of dementia, and so on
As for Jesus' rule winning the day, Lemme see...Virginia governor, several MAGA candidates winning, mass emigration to Florida and Texas, NYC commercial real estate in a tailspin, Roe overturned, concealed carry is Constitutional, parents are pulling kids out of school, OSHA mandate ruled unconstitutional, and on and on and on.
It's a good thing The Founders didn't take their lead from the Eeyore wing of conservatism.
This leftist encroachment CAN be defeated, this can all be won. In the meantime, however, I am not going to be mentally fatigued or beaten into quiet desparstion because some blogger in his Mom's basement says he read online that Bill Gates bought farm land.
For a group of people who trash the trans movement, the irony is that some conservatives seem to have completed their transition to Johnny Fontane.
America is occupied by a ruthless fascist regime that is brutally attacking its citizens. Should we just chill out?
Patrick Henry had an appropriate pronouncement about just such a time.
What a Great Piece!!!! Bookmarking. Will send to friends.
Really, really good.
Thanks!
There is no rational explanation for stopping the counting simultaneously in the five swing states, and then having each state show the same magnitude jump in votes the next day.
