If you do, you risk being harassed by the local Vespa Gang.
Ya know why they don’t show the bike in the pic at the top? Because it’s butt ugly.
My buddy Cory West raced an electric motorcycle up Pikes Peak a few years ago. Must see video of his trip up tue mountain.
See my post above about Cory West racing a Zero up Pikes Peak.
If you want a nice around town and or off road bike, do yourself a favor and get one of these Yamaha dual-sport XT250.
They get about 60 miles per gallon and will go nearly anywhere. A nice low mileage XT250's in excellent condition used go for about 5 or 6k. Low seat height but with high engine clearance. They'll do about 65 mph and they're a ton of fun.
Do they go up in flames?
At idle.
Practically zero top-side surface area for solar panels.
I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't from the Bee.
That slow, no freeway for this thing, surface streets and L.A. traffic?
Suicide.
The article says 125 mile range
Those same articles promise us 800 mile ranges on trucks, while towing trailers.
How is that working out?
With a 40 mile an hour top speed, it will not be welcome on the expressway!
Lots of deaths and serious injuries already happening in the electric bicycle world. I've seen those people in lanes doing 30 in a 45+...As cars, or giant, heavy steel hammers on wheels try to dodge them.
Some of these E bikes come with high performance Kenmore washing machine motors. But some prefer high output Maytag motor. But they're no match for highway traffic.☺
That ain't a motorcycle, that's a kid's neighborhood scooter........
So what happens to people who live in areas like Seattle and many other regions where it can be cloudy for days, weeks and months? Do they have the option of just plugging it in?
Someday in Booty-Gig ville that will be looked on as luxury transportation...
On the Big Island of Hawaii, lots of scooters. Can’t go much over 35 on flat ground, and mot is not flat.
The locals know to get them over to the right when they can and let cars get around them.
Tourists rent the things and creep right down the center of the lane backing up traffic. They get turned into a grease smear periodically blocking traffic.
The ones buying this $8k virtue signaling toy will be like that: parade down the center and to hell with those evil ICE car drivers stuck behind them.
I live near Seattle and it hasn’t rained since July 3 2022.. Need an extra long extension cord I guess..
