A group of female Muslim students at Syracuse University is demanding the university pool provide special hours for female swimmers due to their religious beliefs.

The group of female students at the New York university said that it cannot swim in the presence of men due to Islamic religious beliefs that require women to be fully covered in the presence of men, according to the Daily Orange.

There are Christian faiths that practice rigid modesty standards. If they requested a special time set aside, would it be an issue?

Reminds me of when the Olympic Club in San Francisco welcomed their first female members. It didn't take long, as the women complained about the lack of exercise equipment better suited for women.

The next day, a washer and dryer were installed in the exercise room.

For Syracuse, I recommend their swimming hours be from 2 AM to 3 AM, daily.
