Hmmm, this seems like a huge safety issue.
but light flashing! (I guess the train does not slow-down, change lane, or stop in these situations)
Maybe the cop was still in Training.
Or, maybe he just lost his Train of Thought.

Meow?
Geez, that’s right down the road here.
I smell a YUUUGE settlement for Ms. Yareni Rios-Gonzalez! She’ll get enough from the county, that she can hire a chauffeur, so she never has to worry about a road rage charge ever again!
Doesn’t the Platteville Police Department teach their Officers about traffic safety? Basic common sense would suggest that a train-police cruiser collision would turn out far worse for the cop car than the train.
.
A manifestation of a typical cop mentality that rules are for other people to follow.
Negligent homicide.
What dipwad of a cop would park his car on railroad tracks???
Dude needs to go to jail.
Was the cops name Snidely Whiplash?
Paul Wilkinson, a personal injury attorney representing the woman, said she is awake and able to have a conversation but remains in the hospital.“She has a broken arm that she has had surgery on, nine broken ribs, a fractured sternum, broken teeth, injuries to her leg, back and head,” Wilkinson said.
It is a miracle the young woman was not killed. The officer who parked their car on a railroad crossing acted in such a negligent way that they should never work as a police officer again, and probably should not even have a driver’s license.
I bet the academy didn’t cover the “car on the tracks” scenario.
She’s going to be filthy rich.

It’s hard to believe that anybody living in a small town with railroad tracks needs to be told “don’t park on the tracks”. I guess that’s why there needs to be so many warning signs and labels.
Wham. Bam. Thank you, ma’am.
Just why was the cop car stopped on the tracks ? Why did they put a suspect in that cop car ? There can’t be a good answer to those questions.
