A new study from WalletHub suggests the Garden State may be one of the happiest places in the entire country.
In overall happiness, New Jersey ranked number five. Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota and Utah claimed the top four spots respectively.
Additionally, New Jersey ranked second on the topics of emotional and physical well-being.
Unfortunately, the state was also ranked as one of the worst (#47) when it came to long-term unemployment.
I would think that New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota and Utah would be among the unhappiest places in the entire world. Hawaii may call itself “paradise,” but it has one of the worst business climates and is plagued with anti-white racism.
Utah?
Take huge number of data points plus the desired order of results and have a computer calculate the weighting factors needed to get from one to the other.
I remember seeing the play based on EB Browning’s life.
What I was wondering recently is what happened to all those Afghan ‘’refugees’’ they dumped in here?
I have to agree. But in Florida’s defense, the sun always makes people happy. And we’re specifically happy this year because it looks like we may dodge the hurricane hell that we have every year. Course having a great governor helps too.
I saw some of them working for Southwest Airlines I think.
We’re doing fine here pardner. Much obliged.
I should think you folks in The Lone Star State got plenty to do with all them illegals ya got running loose.
Course we got them here too.
They’re like crabgrass. They’re popping up every where.
From what I understand how ever Sikhs are good folk. Not to be trifled with.
I live in Houston. Normally, out in public, people do not speak English anymore, only Spanish - in stores and restaurants.
So when Texas secedes, which will be the “official” language?
I would never live anywhere in Utah. And not because of the the weather or the economy.
Much to complain about here, but the pros outweigh the cons, at least in SJ.
It’s like that in most of northern NJ where I was born. I hear it all day long where I work. Face it, we Anglos have lost the replacement battle. The future of America’s demographic is Spanish.
No room for tourism in this tiny town -— even with gas lamps.
Alpine is one of the most wealthy towns in NJ and probalby the nation. Rosie O’Donnell and Eddie Murphy lived there. Big Money.
lol, is that the NJ devil?
AZ is way to hot and dry. What are the property taxes there?
These surveys are always suspicious. They aren’t to be taken seriously. But they may not be completely wrong. Hawaii has good weather, so fewer people are depressed. Utah has strong family and social structures, so may Minnesota. New Jersey and Maryland? They are rich suburban states, with high volunteerism rates, low divorce rates, not much snow or hurricanes or tornados. There’s a bias against rural states, where people have to travel distances to get things they want.
Rather low.
A lot lower than in Texas.
Like 1% of assessed value, which is like half of the real value.
The income taxes are also low, and they want to eliminate them at all. If Kari gets elected.
Vehicle taxes for newer vehicles are rather high and lately we pay a lot of for gas. Thanks to California.
It actually depends. There are places in AZ which are not that hot and not that dry. Like Prescott or Flagstaff.
Depends on elevation. By the Mexican border, it is quite high elevation so there are cool places there too!
