The NOAA GFS model is showing a hurricane moving north through the Gulf and making landfall on the western Florida panhandle on September 30. The 12Z 09/20 run had it approaching Apalachicola, while the 18Z run has it making landfall at or near Pensacola. I suspect future model updates will continue to have the hurricane tracking further and further west. JMO.
PING.
Houston needs a big flushing! Send it that way. Then have it settle over Waco and rain over central Texas for a week of steady rain!!
That was what alerted me to the possibility of a Gulf hurricane in the first place, then I checked the GFS and saw the potential for Pensacola to get smacked.
Too bad Austin is too far inland for a hurricane to flush it out.
My son will be honeymooning near there October 2nd...
The media is so hoping a Hurricane hits Florida. They can then blame every bit of damage to the state on DeSantis.
The stories will be non-stop as to what DeSantis has not done, or how this “poor person is without a home” all because DeSantis failed to stop the hurricane from hitting the state.
Send the illegals there to clean up
Not likely.
Your link shows NOTHING.
Oh, dear. It is possible that they could change locations? Not that these models are 100% accurate — tomorrow, the thing could be hitting Brownsville, Texas or NOLA.
Yeah but Ron should say this is one of the reasons he is sending illegals northward. He is getting them out of harms way.
You’ve got their game right.
Brilliant! Its just because he caaaares!
Total horse dookey coming from the media. Florida has a fund to help people with hurricane-related problems, and DeSantis just started a Florida state guard to help people with natural disaster problems.
Plus, Florida is trying to work with the home insurance industry, which is having its share of problems down here due to massive frivolous litigation, but hopefully that will ultimately all work out so we won’t all be on the state-subsidized insurance company operating out of Jacksonville.
Click the LOAD IMAGES button, then you can use the arrow buttons to go through the images. Otherwise, you just get the NOAA symbol.
He feels since they were homeless those folks on MV had the money and resources to keep them safe.
“The NOAA GFS model is showing a hurricane moving north through the Gulf “
Hurricane is at least 74 mph. I don’t see that.
