Rapper and singer Post Malone took a sudden and horrendous fall while performing on stage Saturday night at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
Footage of the fall shows Malone’s right leg disappearing through a gap on the stage floor before slamming his chest into the hard surface. Medics and security guards swarmed Malone as he appeared to writhe in pain. Close-up video of the fall shows him screaming in agony and shaking his legs uncontrollably, reportedly from injuring his ribs.
Malone was in the middle of performing his hit song “Circles” when the fall occurred, apparently caused by a hole in the floor used for lowering his guitar, TMZ reported. He told the crowd he’d be right back, he just needed time to collect himself, TMZ reported. Fans were left somewhat perplexed, as it didn’t look like the kind of injury one comes back from, the outlet continued.
He returned to the stage fifteen minutes later, visibly clutching his chest in pain, but he sang on like the “Rockstar” he is! He told the crowd he was sorry and was hurting so badly he was crying, but someone was kind enough to give him a beer, and he finished up the concert.
“That’s gotta hurt!”
Prince comes to mind. I had no idea for years what an incredible guitarist he was.
The guy I just discovered is Eddie Hazel, from Funkadelic......Wow, that solo on Maggot Brain. I had no idea those guys could rock like they did.
If you’ve never seen the video of Keith Urban and Brad Paisley shredding each other’s electric guitars, Youtube it. Each one is doing the fretwork on the other’s guitar while picking his own. It is freakin’ amazing.

I totally sympathize with the poor guy. Back in 1978 I was dropped through a trapdoor and ended up breaking my left foot and ankle in about six places. I can no longer point my left foot and have not been able to run since. That kind of thing is one of the most horrible experiences anyone can have.

Yep. Maggot Brain is a serious rock record with some blazing guitar work. And all this time, I had been dismissing them as a funk/disco band.
Also Ernie Isley could shred with any of them. “Who’s That Lady” is smokin’.
It keeps you going strong.
Dude has some bad luck, remember a couple of years ago when his private plane blew 2 tires and they had to circle for hours to burn gas before making an emergency landing in NY.

I haven’t heard his guitar playing; will have to check it out. I do remember a couple of years back seeing a really kind and gracious tweet from Dwight Yoakum after he learned that Post Malone had performed Yoakum’s “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere” in concert. I still need to track down that performance online, too.
As goofy as PM looks, not going to lie, I have a couple of his albums and really like him.
