In the clip, Beck says:
“I have been a supporter of the Article V Convention of States. I have been a pretty big supporter, a vocal supporter. I am reversing that today because after some real thought and prayer, we are not the people to open up this sacred document. We are not the people. That was a God inspired document that was divinely written. You can read that from I don’t know how many founders. The very hand of God was involved. Benjamin Franklin even said that. The very hand of God was involved in writing that document. Do you believe that we could send that kind of delegate today? Someone who, when they got to an impasse, somebody like Ben Franklin would say, let’s pause and go to church and pray. They did not politic. They prayed. I am not for opening up that Constitution any more because we are not that people any more. When we are that people, I will be for it again. When we have demonstrated our humility and our obedience to God, and I am afraid it is going to take a massive beat down of our country to get to that place, then I will be for it again. Some day we will be humble enough, we will recognize God, some day we will not be an enemy to God, we will not be so arrogant. When we are those people, I will support the Convention of States. But I withdraw my support, and I am sorry to say that. It is because of the fact that this Constitution is wholly inadequate for anyone other than a religious and moral people. We are not those people and we should not stain this document.

Zero interest in Beck’s opinion after his behavior during the Trump campaign.
He will likely respond on this thread. he has an FR handle, after all.
Very well put. Concurring in New Jersey.
Mark Levin...the Great One...is that you?
✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️ Concur!
I was an initial supporter too. Beck is right, we are not the moral, free thinking people who can be trusted with such an endeavor.
Trusting Santorum on this issue is like taking presidential political advice from Hillary Clinton.
I once loved Glen Beck—he was a hero until he went all Orange man bad with his face in cheatos — his move to Texas was good and his Blaze—until it wasn’t. The Teddy Bears to the border lost me. He tried to circle back—but it was too late. Only an indulgence from Donald Trump will save him in my eyes. RINO saurus Glen Beck—He is dead to me.
There is too much room for mischief should we have an Art V convention with today’s crop of politicians & deep state blackmailers.
I do not wish for the Bill of Rights to be subject to political horse trading.
If you don’t think the 1st and 2nd Amendments would also be on the chopping block during such an endeavor, you haven’t considered the evil present in America today.
We must clean house with the Constitution we have, not pretend we can fix it with a few tweaks. No thank you.
That’s not the reason for Article V.
I was thinking more of the joe-snuffies in the coffeehouses, schoolteachers, babykillers, entertainers and such.
We all know what the suits in DC want; us in chains and feeding their machine. Well, the handful that they want to allow to live, anyway.
I agree that we are no longer a moral and God-fearing nation, but there are many of us who still are as individuals. I believe the problem we are facing is good versus evil.
Beck isn’t important, but Rick Santorum is and Santorum carved Article V in granite today on Bannon’s War Room His summation was a tour de force. If I have time, I’ll post a transcript.

Would still prefer a multi-year 2020 Election Investigatory Commission be convened to examine every defect of modern elections from 2020 and before. The Commission’s Report could then be used to draft an enduring amendment to the Constitution while leaving operational control to States but mandating paper ballots only with strict maintenance of voter rolls. France has 80 million people and maintains a paper ballot only voting system that gets it all done in one day by 8 pm at night.
In a nutshell, technology snuck in on American election processes.
PAPER BALLOT ELECTIONS ===> 1999
2000 ===> COMPUTER ELECTRONIC ELECTIONS
Computer elections also include printing fake vallits and altering real ballots as well as altering tabulations.
Bev Harris has been exposing the historical impact of technology on America’s elections since 2003:

If ever a Constitutional Amendment was needed, it would focus on elections, as electronics and computers have altered the election landscape to such an extent that the survival of the Constitution itself is in doubt.
We never were a religious or moral people. Some aspired to be, but all fell short, even then.
The Constitution was what we aspired to be, not what we were, or there would have been no compromises- we would have been of one mind, one morality.
So, Beck means well, but is wrong again.
Then, as now, there were a few good though imperfect men, a remnant. There never was nor will there be a majority of goodwill.
I used to be for art5, and have become against it. Glenn is making a good switch here, but for the wrong reason.
I view the current situation mess as an invaded country. The deep state occupies the USA thru dems, GOPe, statists, controlled-opposition, msm, etc. in this light, art 5 makes no sense. Imagine the ridiculousness of an art. 5 movement in nazi germany in 1939 to bring about a constitutional government for the german people opposing nazis.
Military is the only way, using the DOD WAR manual to isolate and destroy the occupiers.
“They did not politic. They prayed. I am not for opening up that Constitution any more because we are not that people any more.”
Guys, Beck is right about this. I have zero faith that if the constitution was opened for this kind of manipulation it wouldn’t be edited out of existence. Since the first moment I heard about it I knew that this would be a historically bad idea. The left would look at an Article V convention as an opportunity to finally and permanently gut the constitutional republic. Make no mistake, they will do exactly that. We are just not the kind of people anymore with the capacity to collectively draft that level work of genius.
We are not the people.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Beck has made a good point. I wouldn’t trust my state’s representatives to be moral people.
I’ve been saying this for a long time. I do not trust my fellow citizens enough to do the right thing. You people thinking it would help, are self-deluded.
The Republic is going down the tubes, and quickly. I believe that within my lifetime, the USA will either be broken apart, or become a socialist hellhole. Sadly, it appears socialist hellhole is the most apparent route. Even the most conservative leaders among us all, cower in fear of the media.
