Ryan Reynolds discovered he had a “subtle polyp” on his colon during his first colonoscopy, which he was broadcasting in order to de-stigmatize the procedure.
The “Deadpool” actor, 45, and his Wrexham soccer club co-chairman, Rob McElhenney, decided to partner up with Lead From Behind, a colon cancer awareness organization, to encourage people — especially men — to get the procedure when the time comes.
In a YouTube video uploaded to Reynolds’ page Tuesday, the two explained they wanted to prove how the “simple step” can “save lives.”

they removed a large 30 cm precancerous polyp.
****
Are you sure it wasn’t 30 mm instead of 30 cm?
That converts to over 11 inches. Or did they take a section of bowel out?
30mm is a little over an inch. I had the same thing, 30mm in dia. and they took it out in two pieces. Same type of polyp.
Life saving?
Oh please
Half the population over 60 walks around with colon polyps oblivious till they bleed
She could be cute the little bitch
Below his appendix? The appendix is at the end of the colon, on the right side.
All the gastroenterologists who have performed the test on me had no problem scoping out my entire colon, even going up into my small intestine a short way.
Good luck, I hope everything turns out ok.🙏
This is his latest movie he stars in....
It is getting higher ratings then his past movies.
Ahh, Nurse Ratched.
Why there would be a stigma associated with any preventative medical procedure with potential life-saving benefits is beyond me.
There is “stigma” about a medical procedure?
Boy, there are some stupid people in the world.
Thank you.
I recently had a colegard test come back positive and finally agreed to a colonoscopy. It was actually a nothing burger and they found 4 large polyps. Its actually a good idea to have a colonoscopy once every few years.
