It's been a number of years since I last posted this and recently decided to start doing this again.
As you know, I regard most Freepers to be very well-read individuals. I like to know what people are currently reading. it can be anything - a NY Times bestseller, a technical journal, a magazine you picked up at the grocery store, etc.
Please do not ruin this thread by posting "I'm reading This Thread". It's not that funny. Seriously.
I'll start...
I'm reading "Gettysburg: the Second Day" by harry W Pfanz. It's a deep book covering in extensive detail - yes you guessed it, the second day of the battle of Gettysburg. I just finished "Gettysburg: The First Day". I would not recommend either book for anyone looking for a good initial read on this battle but others may like it.

‘The Demon-Haunted World’ by Carl Sagan.
It’s a biography of Stonewall Jackson. Fantastic.
Colin Greenwood’s Firearms Control, a groundbreaking study of British gun control laws published about 1971.
I read that a while ago. Interesting theory.

WAR OUTSIDE (Monica Hesse).
So far, I’m enjoying it, good young adult novel, but I’m leery of any wokeness (i.e. weak fathers).

“Cleared for Takeoff - Memoirs of an Air Traffic Controller” by Potter.
Just finished "Battle for the Falklands" by Hastings and Jenkins - excellent detail on political angles, logistics, individual units and tactics. Highly recommend to history junkies.

Rather anthropocentric, but Herrero has had enormous influence.
Swan’s Way by Proust. It’s slow going but I’m determined to finish it and see what all the fuss is about.
