In a way, they’re right. But they need to find the Goldilocks Zone. In general, we (the worker bees) all work too much. That takes a toll.

Nine-to-five? That’s not a hamster wheel, that’s coasting! Admirable if one’s life has spiritual meaning, but coasting is just a slow hamster wheel if modest materialism is the end and not a means.

Soft men make hard times.
Hard times make hard men.
Hard men good times.
Good times make soft men.
Repeat.

There is no “traditional” 9-to-5 career anymore.

Half your time is spent in regulatory bureaucracy and learning how racist and sexist you are.

A third of your income goes to taxes directed to immoral socialist causes.

A traditional career used to offer an honest living. Those days are gone.

The term “soft” lends itself to criticism. But it sounds like this guy has figured out how to support himself without having to answer to a boss. More power to him.

I remember when we used to have fun at work. We got a lot done, but we also laughed and had fun.

Friends and family of mine all around the country remember that too, so it just me.

Somewhere along the way, fun and humor went out the window. I feel sorry for the millennials and the Zzz’s.

It is sad, but true.
Americans were the hardest working people on the Earth.
Because and only because of this, US became the richest country on the Earth.
Now, we are slipping to the European model, work only just as much as you need to to keep your job.
Or just enjoy the welfare!

There is too much wrong with this article to even begin a rebuttal.

What a crock.

31? He has not done anything for “years and years” enough to be burned out. The only thing burned out is his brain and work ethic.

Marketing strategist? No wonder the commercials are such drivel.

The first millennial example they gave sounds like he is living on savings.

Most of them want to go hike around Europe for about five or ten years. The Snowflake generation is definitely the worst generation up to this date. Even the first Neanderthal generation was more useful and productive than the Snowflakes and their little abortion-loving princesses.

There really should be a balance. But there is no pride in yourself if all you do is the minimum.
Humans are meant to work, strive, struggle; If we don’t, we get bored and we do not appreciate anything we have. We easily become slaves to the people that are always scheming and working in the background to control us.

This would be fine if you didn’t age but you do age. Good luck having anything like a secure retirement.

That's hilarious.

I have no issue with this - as long as these people take no money for government assistance now and aren’t agitating to increase government benefits in their retirement years since they will have no savings.

Anyone want to guess as to the likelihood that will occur?

And people in hell WANT ice water. I’d WANT to live a soft and stress-free life, but life itself has other plans.
