President Biden appears to remove Trump’s Diet Coke button from Oval Office (read the last line)

Perhaps he’d like a Pepsi?

President Biden appears to have gotten rid of the Diet Coke button his predecessor, President Donald Trump, used on the resolute desk in the Oval Office.

Political commentator Tom Newton Dunn on Thursday tweeted a photo of Biden behind the desk with stacks of executive orders — but the famous little red button Trump pushed to get his favorite soft drink appeared to be missing.

“President Biden has removed the Diet Coke button,” Dunn wrote. “Eventually Trump pressed it, and a butler swiftly brought in a Diet Coke on a silver platter. It’s gone now.”

Trump showed off the button to reporters with the Associated Press and the Financial Times in 2017.

“With the push of a red button placed on the Resolute Desk that presidents have used for decades, a White House butler soon arrived with a Coke for the president,” the AP reported at the time.

Trump also boasted his staffers always noticed when he pressed the button.

“Everyone does get a little nervous when I press that button,” Trump told a Financial Times reporter.

The button now reads, “Little girl.”

There needs to be room for the diaper changing button.

Biden can’t remember to press a button.

Best to have a nursing aide or Jill check his skin for dehydration.

No, they want to make sure Biden doesn't confuse it with the other red button.

That’s what I was thinking, instead of removing it entirely couldn’t they just have moved it farther away from the Total Global ThermoNuclear War button, or maybe labeled them with larger letters?

It has been replaced by a green button. Every time he pushes it, they bring him another billion dollars.

FWIW, this story is dated January 2021.

It was originally posted when people noticed the wallpaper, drapes, and artwork on the walls of the Oval Office, and I think the carpet too, were all different within 24 hrs of Trump leaving and Brandon ‘arriving’ to the Whitehouse. The missing Coke button was pointed out then, as one of the discrepancies in the Oval offic.

The real reason it was removed is because “Kiddie Sniffer” Joe wouldn’t stop playing with it.

I imagine President Trump did more than a few practical jokes with his guests using that button.

Joe kept pressing it for a diaper change and they removed it.

Northern Michigan where my mama grew up they had a Rexall drugstore which used to serve Coke Phosphates... I don’t know if soda fountains exist or if they ever make coke phosphates, those were really good and a lot different than a regular coke.
