The medical community is a cult
I'm a doc, and if it is a cult I haven't been invited. IMHO there are a**ho**s in every walk of life, in every socioeconomic group, and at any level of education. Clearly there are plenty in medicine, but just as many in law, and many more in politics and the talking head industry. That's why, to me, the most important aspect of traditional America is the protection of each individual's right to self-determine and not be forced into anything by any collection of a**h**s.
If she had a positive group b strep culture prior to delivery (the most common indication for antibiotics during labor) and refused antibiotics she carelessly and callously endangered her infants life to prove whatever she was trying to prove. Without antibiotics those infants need be be monitored closely for 48 hours. With strep sepsis they crash and die within hours. I get it that people here hate doctors but she was wrong here and bet her child’s life on it.

Medical Industrial Complex

Remind me again, if a baby goes home before a completed (legally required) blood test; and the baby developed any health issues whatsoever- who do you supposed would be held legally liable? Yup, the Pediatrician; for the next 17 years and 364 days
This is precisely why we had our last two of twelve at our old Kentucky home.
Cancer will never find a cure. There is way too much money in treating cancer. My wife’s cancer treatment runs in excess of $40,000 per month.
Yes...a greedy one at that! They tortured me when I had COVID in the local hospital. The doctors are great! The hospital tortured me so I left!
