Trump's former White House lawyer calls him 'a deeply wounded narcissist' (needless to say, major barf alert)

President Donald Trump's former White House lawyer Ty Cobb called the ex-president "a deeply wounded narcissist" who is "incapable" of acting out of anything other than self-interest in an interview with CBS News' Major Garrett.

Garrett pressed Cobb, who worked in the White House as a special counsel to Trump in 2017 and 2018 and represented the former president during his first impeachment, about Trump's refusal to admit he lost the 2020 election.

"Do you regard that as a defect in his character?" Garrett asked.

"My personal view is that it's less a character issue than a personality defect," Cobb said. "I believe former President Trump to be a deeply wounded narcissist, and he is often incapable of acting other than in his perceived self-interest, or for revenge. I think those are the two compelling instincts that guide his actions."

Cobb cited "abject narcissism" in explaining Trump's refusal to listen to assurances from his own Justice Department and former Attorney General Bill Barr that the 2020 election wasn't stolen via massive fraud.

Cobb said those instincts are why it "takes particularly strong advisers" to help Trump understand what's in his own best interest.

“Cobb said those instincts are why it “takes particularly strong advisers” to help Trump understand what’s in his own best interest”. So he admits to being a weak person, and secondly, why do people think they have to tell others what is in their best interests?

I think the REAL Ty Cobb should make an appearance and “school” his muddle-headed namesake. The baseball legend has had his name unjustly sullied plenty, and having a modern-day buffoon running around adding further insult oughta stir up the departed to administer stern correction.

I liked him. A lot. And I thought he did the country a lot of good. And he showed the pols how it’s done. That’s what ticked them off.
