A leading Catholic scholar claimed that alleged alien abductions stories have parallels with people who say they have encountered demons.
Theologian Dr Paul Thigpen went on to add that aliens are in fact more than likely " demons ".
He also said that the US government know more than they publicly state in relation to UAPs ('Unexplained Aerial Phenomena' - a US military term for UFOs ).
Dr Thigpen told the National Catholic Register: “With UAP we may actually be dealing with extraordinary phenomena of various origins despite similar characteristics.
“Extra-terrestrial hypothesis – the notion that we are encountering non-human intelligences from locations in this universe beyond Earth - best accounts for many UAP.
“The diabolical hypothesis – that they are demons – best accounts for some UAP reports, especially some of the so-called alien abductions’ that demonstrate clear parallels with what the Church knows as demonic encounters.”
These comments come after the US government last year reported on 144 UFO sightings by military pilots since 2004, with only one being explained away as a balloon and the rest "largely inconclusive".

Try really hard to discuss the issues rather than getting all worked up in a personal way. I AM trying to discuss issues, but you have ignored any counterpoint by taking offense.
The ENTIRE HUMAN RACE is guilty of the sin of pride over the physics of the issue. Physics as we know it does indicate that the "distances are to great for interplanetary travel". But our physics is merely 200 years old. Given our rate of gain in knowledge, we are very likely to discover that we don't know so very much after all. A mere 200 years ago nobody thought there would be nuclear weapons or moon landings. All of that is only in the last 80 years.
All I am trying to point out is that we probably are not as smart as we think we might be. After all, there are some kind of physical objects appearing in our airspace. Some want to make those into demons while others want to say, "Evidently those critters found some way to get here from somewhere else. Our physics did not seem to get in their way".
Many wish to hold fast to the notion that those things MUST be demons because we can't do the things their craft do. Is that rational? Is it not reasonable to assume that they know something we don't and were able to parley that knowledge into advanced travel?
He was a good friend...and vy passionate about UFO's and their demonic nature.

They seem to appear in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Some of their deeds are “good”.
Some are “bad”.
Some are “neutral”.
