Gavin Newsom still says he intends to sell the California greenie energy plan as a model for the nation.
Just days after signing a greenie law mandating that Californians buy only electric cars by 2035 — and calling it a model for the nation — Gov. Gavin Newsom is pleading with Californians to turn off their electricity to prevent the electrical grid from blowing out.
In some Bay Area cities — Alameda, Healdsburg, and Old Palo Alto — the rolling blackouts have already started.
It's a policy failure unlike any other, from a guy who makes no secret of wanting to run the entire country based on his state's energy model. Those ads he's taken out in Florida, urging those who fled to come back to California, are looking pathetic right now. Florida, after all, still allows air-conditioning.
The hypocrisy runs thick.

I can only speak for myself but I probably speak for many of us Floridians when I say they’ve ALWAYS looked pathetic.....
And so stupid they’re funny.

True. Gavin Newsom looks like a fool - but he was right on one thing - if liberals want to leave Florida and go back to California that's fine with most of us who live here....

This is BS. Rolling blackouts were announced at 3P — I got a phone call, fer Chrissake.
However, to provide cover for the chief Ahole, TwosomeNewsome, local “authorities” turned off power for some areas. I was monitoring the PG&E outage site (felt sorta like that old StarTrek episode wherein nuke strikes were televised) and both SanJose and Hercules (burbs in Frisco area) went real dark until like 8:30P.
However, the MSM is claiming that there WERE NO ROLLING BLACKOUTS — since these were done by local authorities and not the state.
Ok, potaato, potawto; whatever.
You are still sitting in the dark ‘cause some bribe-taking Aholes mandated shutting down baseload plants so the CCP could get some $$ for wind turbines and solar crappola — and kick back $$ to politicos.
I’m fine with liberals leaving Florida if that’s what they want. Freedom of movement is paramount in this country, and they should be able to do as they wish.
We're in total agreement - freedom of movement is part of our overall freedoms. That said, it makes sense for liberals to move to California and other blue states - to be with their own kind - and for conservatives to move to Florida and other red states.
Again, not forced. But, if a liberal has two job offers - both equal - but one's in California and one's in Florida, they should take the California job. They can drive a battery car and allow fires to sweep through forest so the underbrush' doesn't get cut... then blame the fires on 'climate change'. AND their neighbors will agree with them on all of it. They'll be happier - we'll be happier.
