EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I have something in mind that might make it in time for Hallowe’en, but that depends on the agility of my fingers. If they don’t cooperate, it will have to be next year, from a different address. Maybe.
;o]
Yeah, I forgot the Wordle ping because I was thinking about Moose’s post, but consider yourself pung. Or maybe I’ll just do it another way...
Ping to #696!
Good morning and Happy Taco Tuesday!
I foured it again.

Hallowe’en tchotchkes are welcome any year.
I’m back from all my excursions for today. Now it’s naptime. Then I’ll start cooking again.
Good job!!
I haven’t exactly been behind, but I’m not keeping up, either!
I hope all your excursions went well!
It’s lunchtime for me, and then I’ll do more of the same. I’m not feeling all that great right now, but I’ll work on feeling better. It’s a temporary thing.
Good luck on your nap!
Good Afternoon,
Late start all around for me today... but lucky on the Wordle front...

Yeah, I can just about imagine the progression of your guess! Good job!
Wasn’t that great. I had a earworm. Now I’m cooking.
Oh, how I hate earworms! It was Jake’s fault, wasn’t it?
I won’t be cooking. I did have another cinnamon roll and may or may not have one tomorrow. But as I said earlier, I’m not feeling well, so I’ll just hang around for a bit before deciding whether to disappear into the bedroom or not.
My neck hurts, and that’s not a good sign. I may have to get out my log book and start adding pages again.
I’m sorry about your neck! Jake was napping in the brown chair in the sunroom.
Thanks. It’s just another CFIDS symptom, and I was hoping the worst were gone for the duration. I need to stay away from certain people or I’ll never get the symptoms to dissipate.
I wish you the best in staying away from Certain People!
Tacos....
There is a burrito shop in Oxford that makes burritos that could be mistaken for ww2 AntiTank rounds. Keep your fist clenched whilst loading or your breach block will remove your fingers.
Absolutely delicious with the chipotle sauce.
Proven to penetrate all RHA and ceramic armour. Thermobaric too.
LOL - and probably quite popular?
I remember discovering the Texas Embassy Restaurant in London’s Trafalgar Square in 2004 and being delighted.
My sister was living in Chester and doing her Master’s in Liverpool and I was working in the Middle East, so we were thrilled to find a little oasis of home in the middle of London. Decent Tex-Mex, tasty margaritas and lots of Texas memorabilia all over the walls.
We had to stop there on every visit after that.
Dang…I hate to hear that your neck hurts and you’re not feeling well.
Sending up an extra prayer. 🙏
