EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more
Do you have earplugs?
Jake just went out and got all wet. I think I’ll go do some laundry!
Can’t, have to listen for the inevitable falling down.
Oh, I’m sorry about that.
She hasn’t fallen yet, but she is VERY unsteady and refuses to use her cane, and if pressed will use it improperly e.g. if shes starting to fall backwards. will press the cane to the floor in front of her and push!
Exactly. She probably is confused and frightened and is acting out, not knowing what else to do.
The phrase, “The child is father of the [wo]man” takes on specific, painful meaning at this stage.
Prayers up for you, Nully.
I didn’t use my usual starting word today, or I probably could have had this in three. That’s twice, now... Making more work for myself! LOL!

I’m sending up a prayer for your mom, for you and for your family.
Good morning!
Yay, you!! Good job!
Got any plans for you and the Meezer for today?
Ahh, the Matchbox style cars... I didn’t realize that they still made them.
Working puzzles (of all sorts) is very good for the mind!
Nice job on the 3 spot!
Good news for the kids’ stand... I hope that they sell a lot!!
Good Morning!
I used a ‘floating’ starter word today and got a ride on the four train...

Good job on the 3 spot!

I just got back from the Farmers Market which is always fun.
The Meez just finished galloping around the house in a burst of zoomies, which I always love. The expression on his face is adorable when he does that.
I’m going out later to have Cajun food and watch college football with a couple of friends.
And since all of my housework is done, I’m going to read this afternoon.
Do you have anything fun or relaxing planned today?
Go into the boy’s toys section of any fairly large Walmart and you’ll find all the Hot Wheels and MatchBox cars you could ever want!
I’ve always loved puzzles, but when CFIDS struck, I found it very difficult to work any puzzles of any kind. Then I began with Easy Crosswords and other “Easy” brand puzzle books.
About the same time my sister turned me on to a jigsaw puzzle site online, so I work on a jigsaw every day, 300 pieces, maximum. (They don’t make them larger for screen-size constraints.)
I sometimes work a crossword online, but when I go to the laundry room, I take a book of puzzles with me to pass the time.
The usual — watching British TV shows, like my current (and soon to be done with binge) of The Good Karma Hospital. I usually prefer the murder mysteries, but the last few I’ve chosen seem to have too much profanity. I’ve never understood the need for the screenwriters to add it in the script because it doesn’t ever enhance the story line.
I often crochet, but lately, I’ve had to do very simple patterns.
I was hoping to watch “Oblivion” with my FS, but I don’t think he’s going to show up today. So it will be me, myself and my frog collection!
Good job!!
I obviously need to find something else to start with because my starter has already been used as a word, so unless I change and am lucky, I’ll never get it in One!
Thanks! Letter elimination once again made the day. 😁
