Sometimes I think Frank Rizzo had the right approach with MOVE...
If you mean enforcing a court order to evict them by using tear gas to force them out of the house with no injuries after they had barricaded themselves in and shot a cop, that was Rizzo. They stood trial and were convicted and Rizzo was called a racist until the day he died over it.
On the other hand if you mean dropping a bomb on them and burning them all alive along with the entire neighborhood, that was Philadelphia's first black mayor, Wilson Goode. Nobody calls him a racist ever.
The City of Philadelphia chose to use a flamethrower to the MOVE fly, potentially/possibly/likely killing Officer Ramp in 1978 and torching Osage Avenue in 1985.
Everyting you ever needed to know about the left is encapsulated in the 1985 bombing. The Democrat Machine in Philadelphia dropped TWO Torvex BOMBS on CIVILIANS, incinerating six adults and five CHILDREN and sixty-five innocent residents' homes. NOBODY in the Philadelphia government went to jail. Being a Dem in Philadelphia is great.
Mayor Goode today is a pastor and has apologized and asked for forgiveness repeatedly. He was responsible, the buck stopped there, and while his actions that day were criminal, Jesus call us to forgive fellow sinners if asked. I'm ok with Goode.
By contrast, Fast Eddie Rendell had an incredibly powerful political career - the poster child for white privilege - and has never apologized. He may be the biggest American political piece of human filth, and he's definitely in the top 5.
