An Ohio man confessed to murdering his child, police say after the teen dad intentionally left his 1-year-old son in a hot car for five hours as temperatures soared to 130 degrees inside the vehicle on Thursday.
After 19-year-old Landon Parrott brought his unresponsive son, Kyler, to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in New Philadelphia, police were informed of the incident.
Parrott initially told detectives that the child had only been in the car for a short time while he wen to the bathroom.
New Philadelphia is located 80 miles south of Cleveland.
The city's police chief, Michael Goodwin, said in a statement that: 'During the initial investigation the detectives found inconsistent information being given by the father.'
Goodwin said in the statement that after being confronted with evidence, Parrott 'confessed to detectives what had happened to his son.'
nvestigators obtained video showing that Parrott left his apartment with the child at 8:30 am and was not seen again until 1:50 pm.
The statement went on to say: 'During the interview it appears that this was not a matter of forgetting the child but was a deliberate act so as the child would not be a disturbance while in the house.'
In an interview with Fox8, Capt. Ty Norris of the New Philadelphia Police Department said: 'We estimate that would’ve made the interior of the car about 130 degrees.'

We are rightly horrified with this story.
But what amazes me, is that little horror is expressed about the murder of infants from the womb via abortion..... many full term. They have brains, nerves (feel pain), hearts etc.

I suggest “burning at the stake” as a suitable punishment for cases like this.

When I couldn’t get my son to stop crying; I left him alone in an air conditioning room for 20 minutes though.

I know what you mean. I often see women in stores who must weigh 250-300 lbs. with a newborn baby in their cart, and I think "who would ... ".
If the moron (best word I can say without violating the TOS on FR) didn’t think about Kyler, Kyler mom and dad could have put him up for Adoption. Millions of couples would love to have kids but can’t.

As an alien, I often ask myself whether I should have been taking sides in this contentious issue in American politics, but I donated to Virtuemedia as well as to other pro-life organizations, back then when I was living in the US.
Still, organizations which advocated violence, that’s where I drew the line when it came to my donations...

First of all the was too stupid and immature to become a father at 19. I’m sure his own parents may have told him so but he did not listen.
He “knew it all” at 19 because well he’s been on this Earth 19 years and well...
I pray he realizes what he did and gains wisdom and repents. I also pray other young people learn from this. Wait till you are older and more mature to have a baby!

Yes I agree about the video games. I’ve seen that a lot with Gen Z’ers. Just immature like I said.
I played Atari nonstop (Yars’ Revenge my favorite) when I was a teen but when I went to college? I was done with video games, moved on to other things. I grew up and as the Bible said “put childish things away”. What is with these young people as this is all they want to do?
You do not "forget" your kids in the car.
The same people who claim they did somehow managed not to "forget" their phones.
Or the ice cream.
Sometimes it is criminal neglect and other times outright murder.
But the nice people do not want to think that unless it is rubbed in their face.
So they cry that it was an accident. Because if not they have to confront the fact that really evil people walk among us.
